Abbie, I have long had the same passion for nature and the outdoors as yourself and enjoy your videos. I know the Oetztal like the back of my hand and it is an amazing place for those who love mountains and have the desire to walk in them. I was near Solden at the same time as you were there and yes, the snow did arrive to coat the mountains. I was surprised that they didn't explain that there is no glacier on the Gaislachkogel, the last remnants disappeared over 20 years ago sadly and the remaining ice sheets are melting at an alarming rate. There are so many wonderful walks in the area I hope you get to return and visit them for your next video :) Thank you for all the hard work that goes into your videos!

Random surprises like that bench are such fun! On a hike descending a wooded hillside in Val Badia in the Dolomites, we came across a small clearing that had -- we could hardly believe what we were seeing -- a rack of stilts of different heights! Another day, it was a red door in its frame, all alone on a broad Sound-of-Music-like high pasture. Fabulous photo ops, and even better memories. If only we knew who to thank.

These videos must take a ridiculous amount of work to create. Between hauling and managing camera gear, finding excellent shots, editing, and the actual hike itself, I'm boggled you make it look so effortless.

Lovely video - it may not have been the day you expected or hoped for, but a day in the mountains is always worth it. And that silence is golden - I've had a few moments like that on recent trips and I try and hold onto them with all my might to remember that such spaces still exist in this busy world.

I love to see you and Anna together, so easy going and natural. I love Austria, I was in Mayrhofen years ago for skiing and it was gorgeous, I could only imagine how gorgeous the country side is when the snow melts.

Even with a disappointment or two, it's always worth getting out there! That time - 2020 before the vaccine - is a blur in my mind. Perhaps that's a good thing.

Yep not the lift for the glacier unfortunately.
It should have been accessible via the road but not sure if there would be hike trails round there.
It’s used for the opening race of the FIS World Cup Ski tour.
You may have been disappointed though as there’s a small stadium and restaurants.
That said you should have a crack at skiing (bare with me) I got into it via hiking. The terrain and views you can access is amazing, it really is next level and the Austrian infrastructure is the best.
    Another lovely video though 👍
