How to Change tracks on cat 259d

This is the first time I have changed tracks a CTL so I decided to show some of my trial errors so maybe everyone out there could learn what not to do LOL

Good job Mickey. I've changed a bunch of those. The worst times are out in the field on a slope or against a stump. I like the trick with the pipes. If I lived closer we could swap a set in about 20 minutes. It helps having someone on the other machine with forks and you can walk them right on. Enjoyed the video. Hope y'all are well.

My 259D has the brush package, so it came with those hose guards. I still was getting too much dirt in the belly, so I put some expanding foam in there and sealed it up. I did have a speed sensor go bad and figured that foam would be a mess, but really wasn’t at all. Took the black shield off and the foam came out in 2 big chunks.

Dunno if u did it but after taking grease coupler off u take the 2nd skid steer around and push on front track where roller is and youl get bunch more room 2-3" ul be able to tell when u see all the grease come out didnt look like u did itbut could be wrong then it makes pulling track off alot easier , and putting new one on a breeze, u can do put it on urself if ur strong enough or with 2nd loader just lift it right on no need for pipes also skid steer solutions sells a kit that makes it easy see if I can send u link

No just filter. I kinda changed oil when i broke a like to drive motor lol

on my execavator i pushed in the stretching roller to get some slack, didnt watch see if u did.
