Happy New year to you Buddy. As someone interested in the history of Copper not to sure of what that mineral is, with out a good look. if you can see pyrite within the mineral then it could be Chalcopyrite But there are many versions of copper ore other than the obvious. One question I need to ask, is the mineral heavy? As for the purse clip, it might be good for you to invest in some Silver Chloride for testing the presence of silver. They way it works is scratch the surface of a piece of white metal with sand paper and put the testing solution on that part you sanded, if it turns blood red then you have Silver, if it turns green then it's not silver. Have a great time, stay safe and I will see you in your next video 👍

Hi John, thanks for watching. That piece was in a copper producing area, it's mostly green and red, very heavy. Good tip on the testing kit, I think I will invest in one.

@@castingtechnology3338 Then it could be Baryte with Coper that is all I think of this morning. The silver testing kit you can get on eBay, over here I pay about £7, so you should be able to get a 10ml for less than $10.

@@castingtechnology3338 I'm taking a third look at this and scratch the Baryte theory it's Chrysocolla (oh what a dope I am)
