Beginner Knife Making, making a PVC sheath.

  • So in this video I'm making a couple of PVC sheaths so some kitchen knives can be stored in a draw.

    Good job, I like it, make do with what you have and your budget, kinda what I usually do.

      Yes I always try to recycle where I can and it always seems to be a tight budget but all good, glad you liked it.

    Great job. Im going to make two for my fish filleting knives. Unfortunately I cant find the black PVC which looks good.

      Thanks, and yeah I was lucky with the black, I found it in a rubbish bin. You can paint the PVC though I think, but I've never done that.

    uh, the black stuff isn't PVC. It's ABS. ABS used to be used for plumbing drains, but it's mostly out of code here in the States. The only box store that still sells it in store is Lowes. Home Depot stopped selling it in store almost a decade ago. PVC is Polyvinyl Chloride. ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene.
