- Tom Lee, Fundstrat Global Advisors managing partner and head of research, joins 'Closing Bell' to discuss buying the dip and making the bull case for small caps.
Is this a good time to buy stocks? I know everyone is saying stocks are at a discount and all, but just how long will It take for us to recover, obviously there are strategies to manoeuvre in this present market but these strategies doesn't come common to the average folk, or am I better off putting my money elsewhere?
Yeah, more reason I enjoy my day to day market decisions is that i'm being guided by a portfolio-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downtrends, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis, it's quite impossible not to outperform. Netted over $800k in return on investment, since using a coach 2years and counting.
Talking about coaching, do u consider anyone worthy for recommendations? I have about 100k to taste the waters now that large cap stocks are at a discount... thanks

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

I love his thoughts on small cap. I have a 100 grand to put into the markets now it has shown bullish strength but I am very skeptical about tech and blue-chip stocks at this time. Is there a reversal coming for amd, nvda, pltr and other "heavy weight" stocks following them?

When stock picking, best to have a mentor who has a feel for sentiment and positioning of both institutional and individual investors. Someone like Tom has been a good example lately, get in on his fund.
I agree. It is always good to have a balanced fin-plan. I work with a professional planner and fixed-income strategist in NY. I always feel the need to hedge against the non-negligible risk that something breaks.

Well all i know is that you cannot go wrong taking profit at near high. No one ever went broke taking a ~10% profit. It's best if you consult with a fiduciary advisor to get informed buying & selling decisions.
I was also in a similar position few years ago, i took profit and it went even higher. Upon realizing that a change was necessary, I consulted a financial advisor in 2020 and since then my $1.2m portfolio has averaged 25% annually through restructuring and diversification using growth/blue chip stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and REITs.

There is still too much money circulating. This is the inflation problem. I see lots of money out there. Restaurants near me are packed. Houses sell in 3 weeks near me. I would not rule out a rate hike!!!
Fed rate is way too high, if Core PCE is 2.x%. JPow has said they want to see Core PCE stay there a little longer, and then they will cut
all that money was the 'wealth effect' building up from 2000-2015 of low interest rates and tons of QE. they were trying to boost cpi after recessions but the entire time they were hyperinflating 401ks and home equity which isnt measured at all in the CPI data tracked by fed. now all money supply that was stored up in assets and investment accounts are now liquidating their way through the economy and its going to take alot to stop that flow after 15 years of the fed building it up.

@@ryann8348 Fed rate is historically low. Prices are historically high. The Fed generally does not cut until after a financial crisis ensues.

It's definitely possible a crisis could sneak up on the Fed, but they do seem to be trying to cut before they induce a recession this time

Inflation still problem. Many regional banks poised to fail. FRED has stopped reporting bank unrealized gains/loses. That’s because the chart would cause panic.
Got in at AWM88X with $1 but I will keep it until it hits $50. Still low with that number as the market cap is not close to where it should be

I was sure last year would end terrible for me but I think AWM88X is spot on with what they do and how they do it. Cant say for how long its going to work and for sure it is overyhped right now but even if just half a year or something it would be smart to ride the wave and then jump away eventually, but the reason why this is smart right now is because its so cheap, wont ever find a better entry than now

I am afraid he is wrong because he is talking about earnings multiples that reflect the status of the economy of the last few months and nowadays, but the cycle will slow down, inflation will rise again and bourses will correct, especially the us market, which has been over performing Europe and Asia (excluding Japan) in the last two years
