Jerry's touch and tone is unmatched. He plays with feeling, smoothness and expression that makes the steel guitar a fabulous instrument an icon of the steel guitar.Non-pedal and 7 strings that's all you need. Jerry is missed by all who love the sound of the steel guitar at it's finest.
JERRY BYRD Steel Guitar Legend and BILLY BYRD electric guitar legend! I met and knew both these FINE musicians!! Jerry and Billy worked together many times!! Listen to the pretty harmonics and pretty melody -- SWEET! Billy is playing his iconic Byrdland guitar he and Hank Garland developed for Gibson guitars!! AWESOME my friends!!!
After I returned to Nashville I thought that Jerry would be a millionaire but as usual I was wong. He was painting the interiors of houses and once I saw him working behind the counter of a drug store. His advise was to keep your day job.
I agree wholeheartedly with you. I love Jerry's music. I have all his albums, including his original bakelite 78 singles and some 45's. To me, he is the Master Of Touch and Tone when he was inducted in the Music Hall Of Fame.
The guitar is a Rickenbacker(post-war) JB Series-7 String short-scale console manufactured by Rickenbacker around 1971. The guitar is hollow body and maple on outside.
Beautiful. I'm curious about the guitarist's instrument. It is a deep body doublecutaway, looks to be an upscale Gibson, from the "cloud" position markers. The ES-150D that came out in 1969 was not so ornate and not offered in sunburst. So this is a custombuilt?
its a Byrdland in a double cutaway. I just encountered Billy Bird's LP with this same concoction in a thriftstore in Phoenix, and here it is in person.

Sorry I don’t agree
Wow that was Beautiful!! My Dad loved Jerry, he got to meet him on a trip to Nashville in 1972

It's always a pleasure watching a master at work. Thanks.

Beautiful
Unbelievable
Now if the numbers only didn't hide Jerry's hands....
A friend of mine has this guitar J.B. is playing.
How unfortunate that the timer blocks his hands!
The last day job that Billy Byrd had was driving a taxi here in Nashville. No kin to Jerry Byrd.
It's a pity that the recording quality is very poor. No Studio recordings?
Beautiful.
