So many ppl view pidgeons as vermin, a burden on society, yet if only they did a bit of research they'd learn that pidgeons served as messengers during the 2 world wars and saved thousands of lives and the common feral pidgeon lives a very tough short life on our streets with nothing to its name to live on except the occasional generosity of those who may throw it some bread. They do not get half the respect they deserve.
Beg to Differ My Friend one of the best birds I ever flew in the USA was known as the "TERROR" won I.F. + A.U. Champion he never had that breast skin always richer pink towards red with scales it used to drive me mad but he was unbeatable & he was a Alfons Bowens from Geoff Kirkland same for my blue hen called "the Dream" I.F. & A.U. Champ she was a Verheye from Rex Doe two of the Greats in the pigeon sport & in the off season both won many shows for me a dream to handle & they won from 100 to 500
