    Ext. Discharge is not "Extended Discharge." It is "External Discharge" where you connect a battery to the charger's input and discharge to a load such as large resistors connected to the outputs. I think details like this are important to get right when talking about something that can be dangerous such as charging/discharging LiPo batteries.

    As I understand, it's better to plug in the XT60 first, then the balance connector. That way if there's any initial rush of current, it's traveling through the larger wires rather than through the smaller ones.

      @@supafpv1759 - yes, every single video on TH-cam shows it. Refresh rate when changing pages on that thing is crazy low. You can check this video, same thing too: th-cam.com/video/NE-gnsASLDM/w-d-xo.html . If this link does not take you directly to it, 4 minute and 19 sec mark into that video is when you can see it the most, but basically every single time page is switched, same thing happens. I have not seen that with any other charger out there, even much cheaper ones.

      @@supafpv1759 - Here, I took that portion of the video and made an animated GIF, slowed down so you can see how refresh of the screen is behaving on D6 Pro. Almost every single screen works in similar ways, but they use higher refresh rate, which for human eye is of course always more pleasant. But D6 Pro has such a slow refresh rate, it's totally noticeable. Here is the slowed down animated GIF. Pay special attention to the part when blue page starts loading: i.imgur.com/ttJqHUT.mp4

  • @RCRitterFPV
    @RCRitterFPV 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had a d6 pro... I blew it up when I didn't properly stop the charge and leads hit.
    I loved it.
    That said, I bought the P6 as a replacement for a DC only option, and really love that little guy.
    and then bought the D6 + for AC/DC, it has a bigger AC adaptor 325w or 200w per channel. (which I needed for the RC race track) it can do 10a into 2 2s car batteries.
    the D6 pro, which you have there. tops out at 15a into 2s.
    which is totally fine for 90% of people.
    the biggest complaint I have about the Bigger D6 + is the lack of scroll wheel, which pisses me off EVERY time I use it.
    So much so... that it stays in my track pack and I use the p6,
    and will probably buy another of these D6 Pro's for my desk.
    the phone charging is a real nice bonus.

    Sync charge allows you to combine both outputs to parallel charge (and balance if applicable) a very large battery. This wouldn't be useful for most R/C batteries, but automotive lead acid, or large LifePO4 would benefit. Also, FWIW, my just purchased unit has a red knob.
