    Good night, Kraven. I would like to know the size of each piece of your wing. Unfortunately, I can not reproduce these measures. I intend to make a slight modification to the opening.
    Congratulations on your excellent work.

    I there I love your tutorial. I was trying to make one for a parade I will be attending in August, however the aluminum rods does not stay upright. I am wondering if the correct bending of the aluminum rods will help.

    What specifically did you use to connect the rods and connect them to the base? I went to Lowe's and couldn't find any grounding brackets that were similar to yours. Do you know of any alternatives? These looks so great!

    • @kravecreations3057
      @kravecreations3057  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      home depot I know has them. I don't know of any alternatives yet. Not without machining the pieces yourself. try copying and pasting the headline below into Google shop or amazon. there are several different sizes so be careful before you buy. if you can find it locally then you can compair it to which ever aluminum rod you have chosen for you project

      its call aluminum/steel rod stock if you check out there website and use the sku #'s below it will tell you if your store carries them, and if not which store carries them near you. I think it even will tell you where in the store it is aprox.

    how long does the battery last... and how long does it take to charge? i found bigger battery but weighs 4 pounds

    • @NewEnglandSPL
      @NewEnglandSPL 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I picked up a small 12v battery jump pack for a car, it's a lightweight lithium battery pack so it's good for a lot of cycles and easy to recharge it. I think it was around $40 online.

    how did you attach the wing feathers?

    • @kravecreations3057
      @kravecreations3057  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mt. Crushmore I didn't end up using feathers. I ran out of time for that but I created a flexible skin out of thin painter plastic, spray adhesive, and a few layers of latex. Around the major joints I sewed spandex fabric to protect the hinges before applying the plastic and latex.

    How long were the aluminum rods?

    • @kravecreations3057
      @kravecreations3057  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Phoenixgamer well I guess that depends on what your asking... the stock rods where like 40+ inches and as for the pieces I cut for my wings well.....that is going to vary depending on your design.

    Does it have to be 12 volt?

    • @NewEnglandSPL
      @NewEnglandSPL 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      12v is the easiest way to go, plenty of actuators and power supplies available in 12v and you're able to keep things compact for hiding in the costume or around the actuator. Anything high would require a much larger power supply.
