Love your content as I’m always learning things from you. I’ve been messing with over drive and now under drive in my trx4 sport chassis. What are your thoughts on OD + UD together? It’s 11% with just OD, 13% with just UD and 27% total for both. According to traxxas website. Pros cons?

Try the KNK underdrive gear for 25 percent
I know you have done your inexpensive rc conversion but did you look at the Exceed RC Max Volt ? I know you probably had 100's of suggestion's but wondering why you passed on this vehicle if you have time to answer.

When i had my competition capra, i bought an extra xmission. Wasnt bad, around $60 for a complete transmission with dig. Im sure the enduro is less!
The trans kit cost is about the same from Associated.
The more I watch your series on this, the more its go me wanting one. Just not a fan of the yellow. Maybe a custom painted body...? Love your assessments of each upgrade.

hot racing makes a 26% ud2 gear set but you cant find them nowhere lol
11 % OD is not a lot, trx4 od/ud combined as example is some 23 % and u see it
Hey, loving the channel and am pretty much convinced to either buy an ecto or sendero HD. My question for yourself or anyone reading this though, is how do those plastic gearbox gears hold up to heavier use, I run a Hobbywing Axe system with a lot of torque, and usually run in muddy terrain, I haven't had much luck with plastic gears previously so this is my only worry with the Element kits...please say they are tough! 😆
Al lot of that depends on the axle gear ratio. These have a 3.75-1 ratio. I kinda think if you really hammer on them you may have issues. Maybe a portal axle truck would serve you better?
If you run in mud go metal gears if possible. In mud you'll have a lot of free spin, tires turning at high rpm, then suddenly hitting harder ground. This causes a extreme impact throughout your drive line, any plastic components won't hold up long.
Cheers both. And Thomas I totally agree thats how I broke stuff on my real truck also! Not many rocks here in England but a lot of mud and roots...I want to move away from scale rigs into something more comp styled though which is why the Ecto caught my eye.

It's adding bigger to rear to slow rear down leaving front alone wouldn't that be under drive in rear?

I like the Ecto but the trx4 is stronger and you will break less parts.

I like that one but for the most part it’s just a Wendigo with a brushed system and a Jeep body. I’ve got a Wendigo. So long as they didn’t change any driveline, it will be indestructible with a brushed motor.
I found out with my element that heavy shock fluid helped with dropping out think I ran 70 up front 60 in rear just figured it's a good try all I have is a brass diff cover and club five front links witch is heavyer but the rear are stock because they binded up .

I have a 10% over drive in my comp rig and I don't believe it makes much of a difference. I think 20% would be ideal
