As a beginner who hasn’t got a clue what I’m at,you’ve helped me from catching the leaves behind me to landing a few fish…big love from a fellow Irish man 🇮🇪
Subbed, got hooked on ul fishing myself, the way you feel everything going on with the line and just a little flick sends small lures flying on overgrown rivers with pinpoint accuracy. Your audio/video is top notch. The link to your braid didn't work for me. Best wishes from Kerry!
Lovely Senan Awesome Trout I Just Got A licence for the Moy. Looked like ya had a great time. I love watching your videos because i always learn so much thank you! Edit: I have that exact same salmo minnow used it on Lough Corrib 2 days ago!
Go out every week but been tough going had couple fish around two pound but not found better fish as yet ,was into them around this time last season so hopefully happens soon
Love your videos. Fishing for 50 years but absolutely no luck this year. This week 5 days in a row fishing the Lee upstream. Worm, minnow, all kind of spinners etc....not a single fish😢😢
Hello sennan , I was wondering what is a better Rod ,, the favourite arena ? Or the savage gear sg4? And which reel is better the diawa ninja 1000 or shimano vanford 1000 I’m going to be buying one soon , I see you use both of them in most of your videos , I don’t mind about price , I’m going to be using it for light spinning for trout with Mepps spinners , thanks for all the videos you have helped me catch loads of fish , Kind regards Graham
It’s really fun isn’t it Tommy. I think most people in the comments can relate to this video in some way. The wild streams fishing is just unreal craic.
Hi Senan. I do more riverside fishing in wider rivers but I'm trying to learn to use lures instead of flies and spinners. I can't seem to get distance when casting due to the light weight of the lures. Any tips? Great video also 🎣👍
Thanks Ben! You should get huge distance with the right equipment. It could be a few things. Your line could be too heavy/thick for the lures you’re using. Your rod might be too heavy for the lures you’re using. Light fast action rods will through the small 2-3gram lures across any river, thin braid 0.08 is good for distance also!
Nice one mate Would like to see a video on a river a bit bigger and with less flow, just to understand how you go about your business. Also, you got a link for that rod and reel setup mate?
Back out on the river for wild brownies 👌 My fave type of fishing, lookin forward to gettin back out meself in next couple of weeks.. Enjoyable video as always Senan 👍🏻
It’s brilliant fun isn’t it ger? Conditions weren’t ideal here so I might go back down this evening and see if it’s any better, missed a few of the bigger trout here, they hit the lure but turned instantly 😁
Great video Senan, what action would ye say is on that Rod? I like the idea of a super light set up but think it would need to be like an extra Fast Action rod. Nice and rigid????
This rod is a fast action, it’s ideal for twitching the small wobblers to get the trout to react. Works fine for spinners too. I prefer the fast action style rods than the floppy ones, it’s more electric!
After catching a few trout over the last few months, I cannot agree more with how important it is to wet the hands use a rubber net etc. They are so sensitive and often don't release well if not looked after.
No I choose to crush the barbs instead, if you watched the video you will see the hooks fall out in the net every time. Don’t try to tell someone how to fish, I have used single hooks lots of times, I choose not to use them on certain lures.

Hey Stanley I was just about wondering if we could meet up some some fishing
Meanwhile i'm here in Norway, waiting for the rivers and lakes to properly thaw out..
I’m sure it will be worth the wait for you 😁💪
Unlucky mate
great video good to see all the small trout
Thank you 🙏
Good video. Big fish are there
What a video pal really missed your trout vids on the river and try and remember to stay away from the lake and stay in the river😂
Haha thank you, it’s hard to balance them both 😂👍 the longer evenings will help a lot
@@senanstanleyfishing for me the nights don’t bother me it’s just I’m more bothered about me finally catching a fish😂

Ah good stuff, I’m sure you will find lots of fish up in the Moy.
Those little salmo minnows are brilliant, great value too.
Yeah they are great thanks Senan Tight lines!@@senanstanleyfishing
Great content once again glad to see the trout videos thank you for sharing
Thank you, great to hear from ye again 👌
Nice one Senan👍

Thank you! It’s hard to catch them sometimes, I’m sure the condition of the river after heavy rain can affect catching them, it’s always a battle. 👌
Great to see you back at it Senan . Can’t beat a setup like that , great sport. Look forward to more videos 🇮🇪🇮🇪Atb Tony
Nice one Tony, hope you’ve been well! 💪🎣
Lovely trout - was checking out the local river today - you can't beat fishing salmo's and rapala's upstream this time of year.
Ah there great craic, seeing the trout chase them downstream and miss the lure at your feet is brilliant
Great stuff, keep them coming.
Loads more to come hopefully, the rivers are coming to life again!

Hello Stanley I was just wondering about if it would be ok if we could go for a days fishing
Class video senan, always love watching you catch the small trout

@@senanstanleyfishing just ordered a new light set up for the rivers so not yet but soon I will be 🎣😄tight lines!
Great fishing as always nice rivers and trout did you ever do any fishing in cork?
Great stuff as always
Thanks mark, have you been out lately?
@@senanstanleyfishing going today .looking forward to casting lures for the trout on derg.
great tutorial
Thank you 🙏
Have you tried night fishing? It can be done. Especially in the summer
Must be fairly healthy water sir.
Love this type of fishing. Spent years as a kid using bubble and fly in a similar way.well.done

super fun vid :)
Thanks bud!
Good video, well explained 👌
Thanks Marcin, I’ve been trying to remember to speak to the camera instead of fishing for the whole video 😂😂 the fishing is just too much fun
Subscribed 🙏
nice good video

@senanstanleyfishing ok I'll keep that in mind. Still on budget gear but I'll look into it. Thanks a million
I will pray for you brother if its Gods will you will suceed☦️❤️
Thanks for that 👍
Well senan class video👌
Any tips for tying your line and what type of knot do you use
I use an Albright knot to join my braid to my leader, it’s easy with some practice, there’s some videos online! 👍
@@senanstanleyfishingthanks senan
Do you use a swivel
Do you use the Albright knot to tie your spinners?
Nice one mate
Would like to see a video on a river a bit bigger and with less flow, just to understand how you go about your business.
Also, you got a link for that rod and reel setup mate?
I found a larger deeper river, will give it a lash in April !
I got this rod from Poland, fishing mart.pl
Favorite arena
Shimano Vanford 1000
Hi can I ask where you got the net you are using in this video
That little net came from AliExpress, it’s great
💕Wow💙💙💙💗💙💗💗
Will u be bring the bait caster out on the river this season
Sure will 👌 soon!
Great video...is that cork?
Thank you 👍 It’s not 👍
What line do you recommend using for trout ??
Either maxima ultra green 5lb or else any 0.08mm braid 🙂
Please more wild trout fishing on fly .
I will do, just waiting for the river to drop a small bit 🫡
Good stuff! Please include some tips and techniques. I having problems to fish running water☹️
Good man Senan, keep these coming.
Thanks Garry, thankfully the big crazy flood has settled down a bit !
Good to see you back at it mate. Cheers for the video.
Thanks Greg it’s good to be back on the small rivers, you never know what you will come across down there!
Great video senan, nothing like wild river trout fishing.
Lewis
It’s great craic Lewis, perfect way to destress after work in the evenings, great exercise too getting up and down the river
What is the name of the rod and reel please?
Spinning up stream is so strange for me. I've always spinned down stream.
Both can work, I find upstream so much more efficient, you don’t spook the fish, you get more reaction strikes, the lure stays deep in the water ☺️
Back out on the river for wild brownies 👌 My fave type of fishing, lookin forward to gettin back out meself in next couple of weeks.. Enjoyable video as always Senan 👍🏻

These are my favourite videos. I think the first or atleast one of the very first videos I saw was the fiish powertail one
I must crack out that badboy again soon, I lost a big fish on it last year and can’t bring myself back around to using it again 😂
@@senanstanleyfishing I've got a couple somewhere, haven't seen them for ages. Must clean up my fishing tackle area

Love to see you do a tutorial on spinning. I plan to give it a crack this season.
It’s great craic when the conditions are right, every day is a learning day down there, things are always changing 😁
After catching a few trout over the last few months, I cannot agree more with how important it is to wet the hands use a rubber net etc. They are so sensitive and often don't release well if not looked after.
That little blue net I have there was really good, the silicone was perfect for them 😁 handy for giving them a second to rest
Take the trebles off and put single hooks on
