    Thanks for the info. Can you make a video with the sheep skin removed and showing how to attach the stirrup leathers to the saddle?

      Glad you liked it! I'm sure we can do that. I get those more often and have made them separately for people before. Just curious, where do you live?

      @@ISOLDAIIIThank you. I live in Oregon, USA. I’ve been following your videos and last weekend purchased a used vaquero saddle. The stirrups were not attached and I want to make sure I put them back on correctly.

    Such great videos on DV you are making!
    1- what was the saddle you start the young horse in? I couldn't understand what you said.
    2- Does Silla and Monturas always ask your horses measurements? The USA importer you mentioned hasn't asked me for measurements yet. Just pictures were requested.
    3- Are the lightweight DV saddles at least acceptable?
    I wanted lightweight and the comfort of DV saddles, as I suffer from super bad seat pain.
    4- Can these saddles work for a small 14 hand Arabian horse?
    Thank you big time for these educational videos! ❤

    Thanks for this informative video. I found it really interesting since I've been watching Doma Vaquera style for the past few years ever since I started watching Rejoneo. I'd appreciate it if you do a segment on what types of bits they use in Spain for this style of riding. I noticed they tend to hold their reins tight which results in horses neck from going behind the vertical. Cheers from USA.

    Hi! Great to hear from the US! May I ask where you came across Doma Vaquera? I actually did a video on bridles and bits. It’s on my channel. CENTAURO. I’m just back frim a trip in Spain and have a video waiting with some more info on bits. I’m posting that next week. Tonight I’m doin a video of my trainer Antonio Quinta schooling a young mare. Make sure you subscribe to my channel to get all my videos and updates on when I post a new one! I’m going back to Spain in a couple weeks so more on the way. 😁

      CENTAURO, I've been riding since I was a little kid, and riding styles of many different countries have always fascinated me, and Doma Vaquera style from Spain caught my attention when I started watching Rejoneo. Doma Vaquera saddle looks very comfortable but those spade stirrups looks strange to me. By the way I watched your segment on Doma Vaquera bridles and bits. I found it very informative, thanks. Keep up the good work.

      774892 That’s great! Thank you! Saddle is very comfortable. Stirrups are protection from the horns. They also require a different way of sitting. See my video on stirrups. In Spain again now so stay tuned for more!

    Love your videoes! But I'm wondering, as I'm rebuilding my vaquera saddle, why is the girth so far forward?😄

    • @ISOLDAIII
      @ISOLDAIII  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I assume you put it in the right position? Before the stirrups? That’s why. If it was behind the stirrups it would be too far back. But that’s why there is a crupper so it is stable. Especially if you do quick stop and you aren’t seated deeply the saddle could flip up.

    • @tinahersleb5490

      Thank you for the answer! I feel like the saddle is tilting forward without the rider, but I'm having a saddlefitter to come and look at it. Had to adjust the panels, but they may still be wrong for my mare. Do you have to use a crupper? I don't have one yet, but I may have to buy one😅

      @@tinahersleb5490 strange because they are normally always attached. You really should use one. If the saddles tips forward it is too narrow I think. Was it second hand? Where do you live?

    Does the cinch always go in front of the stirrups? Just wondering because I have a horse with a girth groove that is really far back. Most saddles slide back on him. Tried English, western, and Australia and everything tends to slide back. The only thing that helps is center fire rigging on a western.

  • @ISOLDAIII
    @ISOLDAIII  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes it does. If you don’t it will really far back. Have you tried a breast plate?
