Kelly remembered him, she dropped her tail into complete submission(rare) and she offered her 2nd most protected area, her face/head. She clearly remembered every bit of the event. Animals aren't dumb, those that think they are are the dumb ones. Beautiful Video. Just Beautiful

Yep she was like hairless dog and i know how much pain she has gone through to become that hairlessness look as such it was painful to even thinking what she has gone through. But no more of that pain now .she is beautiful and full of love and surround with love and well being. I wishing them happiness and god blesses them all.

She was a scruffy stray, somebody just dropped her off in the woods.She was covered with ticks and fleas and our landlady took her in, got her well but couldn't keep her. So the neighbor took her. Sweetest most happy go lucky, loves everyone dog. Also named RED. We can't have a dog so we borrow her to love on.😁
the guy who resuced kelly was where he was meant to be the night he found her. May all Kelly's recusers and Kelly live long, happy and blessed lives

I have to say, additional to what people have said in the comments, that one thing The Dodo does with their videos and we really need is to show man, real man, showing emotions, being kind, present, handsome, showing vulnerability. I can't stress enough how BAD we need this kind of examples for our youth. Matt is a great example.
Now, since I'm also a regular Dodo fan, omg, when she was smiling even being almost completelly bald! She is so adorable!!!

Ok, I'm a grown man in my 40's sitting here with tears in my eyes. This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life... Kudos to the man who rescued Kelly, the staff at the adoption centre, the couple who adopted her and everyone around the world saving animals and caring for them.

If you can, I recommend volunteering with the humane society, you will get to help animals just like this. It's the best feeling in the world, I may be biased though, every dog I've ever had came from rescues. I hope you are staying safe, strong, and not going crazy with stress during this pandemic. @Lisa B we had a springer called Grouse and a black lab called Moss. My father picked them up 8 weeks old when I was 10 weeks old. I grew up with those dogs. He hunts Deer and used the dogs as working dogs. But I adored them and to me they where like my brothers. Such a blessing to have such fine animals in your life. Very special memories made with those dogs. Im not surprised Sweetie worshiped your father. They are such a loyal breed.
she almost looks like a cross between a cocker and a springer. she's got the cocker body and coat but springer markings?? but there was absolutely no way to tell what she was as a little bald baby lol, I've seen pitties and all kinds of dogs that look like that when they're emaciated

Kudos for all of you rescuing this dog. I lived in Virginia for 2 years and was shocked by all the hunters who just abandoned their dogs deep in the forest after the hunting season was over, not caring what happend to them. The shelters were full of hunting dogs at that time. How people can be so heartless after a dog has served them is beyond me.

Hunters obviously don't like animals to start with since they enjoy killing them. But I didn't know they couldn't care less for their own dog either... That really tops up the whole hunter thing. 🤬🤬🤬

I'm always amazed at the resilience and forgiving nature of dogs.
I love Kelly! Even without fur, she was so cute. She sort of looked like a Sphynx cat. I'm so glad that cutie got rescued before that storm hit.
After losing my Yellow Labrador in January and Staffy in August (last year) I thought I was done with having dogs. But I wasn't.
I was considering a little French Bulldog as I don't walk too well, but have a fair amount of garden space. Then a Japanese Shiba Inu 'came along' that had to be rehomed due to a bereavement. He's settled in so fast it's almost unbelievable. Despite having a dog bed (new, of course) he prefers to lay under the kitchen table or sprawled across the sofa. At night he sleeps _under_ my bed *by choice!*
He's an old dog, around 9, so who goes first (I'm almost 69 with cardiac and other problems) is a tossup, but at least we're both happy for the moment.

@@sunnygirl3906 Never 'bought' a dog in my life. They've *all* been rescue dogs, although I've had to donate some serious money to the rescue centres in return for rehoming the dogs.

How precious! Dogs truly are man's best friend. All they need is love and basic necessities, and they'll be there for you until the day they pass away. I rescued a blue pit and she's been amazing. It's like she knows I rescued her. From the day I picked her up, she has been right by my side every single day since. Love these stories.

Right. Mange is so easily curable with Ivomec. Why they would ever do that to her is beyond belief. They could have surrendered her at a vet clinic, animal rescue or shelter if they didn't want her. Where is the humanity? 😢💔

Why or how, did Kelly lose her fur to begin with? Trauma? Abuse? Even though I am curious the main outcome is that she was rescued and taken care of and loved by her new family. So wonderful and heart warming. I love you people!
By the looks of her skin when she was first being bathed, it would be my guess that she had picked up mange from somewhere.
From the crusting on her face, it looks like a long-standing case of demodex mange. That causes the loss of hair. Without her hair, it's amazing she survived in the desert.
When she started getting her fur back = tears 😭

I've had springer spaniels my entire life and genuinely started to tear up when I saw what condition she was i. I love my dogs so much and I would have gladly taken a 4th.
