DuckTales: The Moon / Della's Moon Lullaby (Side-by-Side Comparison)

- Here I am doing another one of these. This is a quick comparison (or mashup?) between one of the best licensed-game songs ever and a recent reference to said song from probably one of the best revivals of a TV show ever.
The song was originally composed for DuckTales (or Wanpaku Duck Yume Bouken in Japan) by Hiroshige Tonomura from Capcom. It was later remade again (first time being for DuckTales Remastered) and sung years later by Paget Brewster (with lyrics by Jake Kaufman, Mark Mueller and John Smith). There's several examples of the theme being used in the episode "Whatever Happened To Della Duck" as a remix, but this seems to be the most interesting use.
Useless fact: To get the NES version to match with the show version, I had to remove the drums with FCEUX and change the pitch in Vegas Pro to make it flow better.

I learned two things today
1. Della’s lullaby was based off of the music from the NES game
2. The music from the NES game is a meme and I never knew it originated from a Ducktales game I’m crying

The soundtrack from the NES game was entirely composed by Disney, and not Capcom...
I must say, the writers of the show had to have been on their A game to come up with this little love letter to the fans.

Some 80s kid waited 30 years and grew up to be in the animation/ film/tv music scoring business for this specific moment and as a fellow 80s kid and musician I can relate and it was totally worth it.

It's an iconic song. People who have never even played the game can still hum along.
That was the strength of early videogame music. Hardware limitations forced composers to create masterpieces.
