Agreed, out of the box, eh. Car now tuned, 4wd removed, but still tinkering. It's a Slot.it so it's easy to tune. Track record is 4.96 but NSR model, not apples to apples. Slot.it LMP and GT cars, in yellow, inside lane should be 5.2 for a winner. Add about 0.15 seconds to each subsequent lane towards outside, and those are winning times for those classes
@NorFlo Slotcar Racer unless really tinkering with the 4wd to learn pros and cons for improving (and making a 4wd class for it), keeping it 4wd was never an option. And yes, per my video, you can feel the added friction out of the box, anyway.
@@hobbitracing yes I heard you mention friction but I didnt get the context until now...sooo in your opinion is that a valueless offering from Slotit ?
@NorFlo Slotcar Racer not valueless, just needs investigation if one were to make a 4wd class. The system is simple and effective, but I didn't lube it or really do anything to make improvements like we can for tuning
Yes. This has the Slot.it pickup/guide that the wires are in with a set screw in the back of the guide, and it's sloppy. I recommend replacing with Slot.it CH84, if going on to a wood track, and trying that. Otherwise, there still may be better options for plastic track, beyond the stock.
@NorFlo Slotcar Racer no need for that. Talk to Henri. He had the file posted for me, printed and perfect. Thought I did a follow up but it may have been on his TH-cam page
@@hobbitracing ..you did do a follow up..I dint get it until I realized you were talking about a special printer..which I dont have...does Henry or yourself sell them on ebay ? I REALLY need to buy one !!!
pretty car but SLOW !!!...looks like a Scaley LMP can beat it...whats your fastest car laptime on that track ?...5.5 ?

i cant figure those pickups out...was considering chopping up the unit and installing a regular wood pickup
