The actual thing is that everytime you read Geeta it's always a new and different version based on your current state of mind and emotion.. by learning Sanskrit and understanding Sanskrit Shlokas with your own understanding it true essence of geeta.. else all those traditionals and commentaries are own version of the translator or commentator.
But even if you understand Sanskrit, it’ll still be your personal current state from which you interpret the text🙏🏼 Less filtered though I get it Yet, it’s not necessary in our opinion in order to get the transmission of Krishna. And if one is ripe for realization, one filter will not hinder one from getting the essence

You bought the misinterpretated version of Geeta. Iskconis only teach Bhakti Bhakti but the real ways Hinduism teaches meditation, yoga, good karma, Gyan yoga etc. Just go with Geeta press or Swami Vivekananda version or Swami Ramanucharya And if you want to continue with the version that you bought. Just learn Sanskrit first.
I am happy to share with you that I have start studying Rig Veda (most ancient hindu scripture) in my own language (Tamil) I have already read 2 different English translations Understanding the context of Rigveda is too hard because the Rigveda is very allegorical, poetic and mystic Eventually I will read other 3 vedas
