Home Free is so talented. They can do any genre of music. That was so much fun to listen to. Chance loves sea shanties & he wrote this song for the game "Skull & Bones". His deeper voice sounded great for this song. And of course all the background harmonies of the guys including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion. I'm not a gamer but I love this. There is also a shorter live version of this song which sounds great!

There is a live version of this. And there is a guitar and a mandolin as instruments.
The funny thing is we know Tim and we heard him go that low before, the gamers didn't and some thought there was something done on his voice

Yes Chance wrote this for the game and it may have been Ubisoft who approached him to write it. I’m not sure. It’s so good. I do believe the song will play during the game. Good reaction. Love this song!!!😍

Great reaction!Chance wrote this and took lead.Chance loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming so when Ubisoft approached them with this opportunity he jumped at the chance.
Chance was playing guitar Austin was playing mandolin and Adam with his amazing beatboxing Tim and his bass and opera Rob can’t get better that that
They sang a shorter version live at Ubisoft Live Premiere
This is what Chance said on Facebook after the premiere
When Ubisoft approached Home Free to write a shanty-like pirate song for their upcoming game #skullandbones, I jumped at the chance. As a lifelong gamer and lover of the sea and sea-born music, this was a dream come true.I truly don’t have the words for how I feel.
After the better part of a year, I can finally share the song I wrote for Ubisoft’s upcoming game, “Skull & Bones.” The game couldn’t be more my vibe, and I’m so excited for it. Thank you to Julia and everyone at @ubisoft for giving us the opportunity and to my band mates for letting me pen this one. I am blown away and so happy today. ❤️🫶

After an Ubisoft gamer executive heard Home Free's Sea Shanty Medly, Ubisoft commissioned Chance to create a theme song the new Ubisoft game Skull & Bones, which will release next month.

It doesn't release next month but goes into closed beta testing. I believe they are hoping to release the game fully in late fall. And since the guys intend to release a regular video sometime this fall, I think they are closely tied together. At least, I hope.

I'm not a gamer but the graphics for this look incredible. As always, the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are perfect - the bass is just crazy! There's a live version of them singing this as well.

I think that in that first section, there are actually 3 voices - Chance on the highest line, Tim down below him and Adam throat singing on the really low line. Great songwriting by Chance and great execution by everyone. The live, but abbreviated, version from the Ubusoft conference is even better.
