Fun fact about dear theodosia: during the part where lin sings leslie had nothing to do on stage so he decided to bow his head down and pray for his kid even though he didn't have any kids yet, by the end of his run as burr he had said about 500 prayers to a kid he didn't have but always had faith that one day he will

I don't really see any similarities between Burr and Draco though. Draco was a spoiled brat at the beginning whereas Burr was orphaned when he was two years old. Burr doesn't really insult anyone or look down upon any one. He instead keeps all his thoughts to himself whereas Draco is the exact opposite.

We know Hercules Mulligan politicized Alexander Hamilton's ideas, but who politicized Mulligan? I mean, people aren't exactly born thinking, "Right. It's time for a revolution." Something has to _happen_ to them before they get to that stage.
Without question, my favourite was A Winter's Ball/Satisfied. That rewind, that performance, the staging, the coordination--just pure talent on display. ESPECIALLY Renee! Her delivery is flawless.

Every number is arguably brilliant, but this one culminates Manuel's genius. The end is layered with 5 separate songs on top of each other. With that and 96,000 from Heights, it's almost a signature of his and displays the immense talents of his cast.

The most haunting thing is how History Has It's Eyes on You is the only song in the show that *musically* foretells the end of the show, especially because all the other songs are so deeply interconnected
When Alexander shatters in ‘It’s Quiet Uptown’ is absolutely breaks everyone. Just the pure, raw emotion that Lin has in that moment is enough to make anyone weep.

It also has a) a TON of rap influence (especially “the Ten Crack Commandments”) AND b) a TON of music theory scaffolding. The whole melodic line is set up under painstaking Baroque counterpoint rules. It at least deserved to be on the honorable mentions list for how masterfully it weaves the main musical style of hip-hop with a style the real Hamilton could have recognized.
The theme also repeats in Philip’s lines during “Take a Break,” AND WTF THAT SONG ISN’T ON THE LIST EITHER

One of these songs is in my funeral program at the end. I re-wrote the end once I had seen Hamilton. I wrote my original WILL with my funeral program on the last page when my son was 5 years old because I was always on the road....now he is 33 and I changed only 2 things. I added a Hamilton song at the end and I took my ex out of my WILL period because I am no longer married to him.

I think the King George song You'll be Back is the best. It's funny, easy to sing along to (words are understandable), and I love his little shoulder dance at the end of the song. Or at least the song should've been #2.

My favorite was “Hurricane”. Haunting song. Beautiful choreography.
Can we agree that Hamilton is Eliza’s story? She fell in love with Alexander (Helpless). She wrote a letter to Washington begging for him to send Alexander home (That Would Be Enough). Angelica says that she loves her more than anything in her life (The Reynolds Pamphlet). She cried and burned her letters from Alexander when he cheated on her (Burn). Whenever Philip died Eliza screamed “Is he breathing?! Is he going to survive this?! Who did this, Alexander did you know?! (Stay Alive - Reprise). When Philip dies she also has the strength to go back and spend time with Alexander again (It’s Quiet Uptown). Alexander tells her best of wives and best of women before he goes off to duel Aaron Burr (Best of Wives and Best of Women). When Alexander dies, she tells his story and carries on his legacy (Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story). Plus, the musical ends with the famous Eliza’s gasp.
Someone on another thread mentioned that Hamilton was the surname so covers Phillips, Alexander’s and of Course Eliza’s story. Which I thought was a wonderful way of looking at it, as I always felt her final gasp (at least the way Phillipa Soo played it, Even though she played it differently depending on how she felt that night) as her seeing into the present from the past as she dies and seeing us the audience, and realises she has told their story, and what she did was enough (as in the song she keeps asking if what she has done is enough)
