Pinky you’re singing my pain right now!!!!! I feel like you made this video for me. Lol I was about to get on your channel to ask if by chance you or any of your followers could help me. I know you love ILTY by Hobby Lobby. I’ve been searching everywhere looking for this yarn. I’m mkg a Monkey n all I need is to finish the tail n thought I had the second skein. I’ve exhausted all avenues even here on you tube asking yarnies. I don’t even need a whole skein. It’s for a newborn baby due in a few weeks. 😢 It’s sport weight, linen color # 255 lot # 105353. Please if any of your followers might have one I’ll buy it. I hope this is ok if not you can delete. It’s always great to see you. ❤
Hi Liz! Sorry you're having this issue. I will look through my stash to see if I have the color, being that I have quite a lot of the sport weight from HL. It's a hard lesson to learn, my friend, right?
@@pinkyhooks4939 yes for sure. I guess I used one n didn’t realize I had only one. Found out late in the project. Thank you for through your stash for me. Have a good night 💤
@elizabethbrignoni7448 ugh.....that's tye worst. I will pull out the tub with my lightweight yarns and go through it tomorrow. I promise to keep you posted.
Hi Shonya! LOL you are so funny! I will likely watch this again! I agree, because that has happened to me too. I would suggest, if you find a great deal, by 10 skeins or what have you. Then if you have 'one offs' make hats, lots and lots of hats! LOL They will fit someone's head! Love and hugs! "Kindness Matters!"
Wanted to put this separately. Here is a good way to deal with multiple lots or tie in a matching color to have enough yarn for a project. I have seen many knitters do this. Couple rows of 1st skien and then couple of next. That way, it blends in and harder to see, and mostly, if only a few rows you can carry yarn.😊❤
Im with ya, tho over years, try to plan out a bit. Totally addicted to that little orange sticker. I have TUBS of clearance yarn stored, but most of them are multiples. Hobby Lobby clearance how I have run it. Go thu pic colors/yarn attacted me and put the all in cart. Then I sit on the side, looking at them and quick dream what they can be with yardage. This part takes all I got... sometimes, I put some back. I call it catch and release like fishing cause it made it less painful.😂❤ Also, there are times I might go back to matching colors I didn't see or even swap with others doing the same.❤ And yes, Im faaaaar beyond SABLE(stash aquired beyond life expectancy) and no matter it hasnt stopped just can slow it a little. I have given big boxes of yarn and once a whole tub and no dent... it multipleies in my sleep i think ❤😂
Happy Friday, Renea!!!! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. My best friend resides in the same state you're in and she is having a ball with snow. lol
@PamsCraftyheart awww Pam. I'm sorry to hear this. 😔 I truly understand what you're going through. Keep hugging your fur baby and Im here if you want to talk.
I won some hand dyed yarn, one skein. I made a blanket uses it in the middle, continued the square in other colors. Worked for me, also showed off the hand dyed yarn. Happy to see you!
Hello, hello, hello! Glad to see you in the comments. 😊 The way you worked your yarn is how I imagined myself improvising throughout this year. Thank you for sharing and reminding me of ways I can do things without buying more yarn. You're a rockstar ✨️ 💙
When I see yarn that I have a particular project in mind and a certain stich but know it will be awhile before I get to it. I buy the amount I need +1. I place a tag on the yarn with what I plan doing with it and the stitch. I tie them in a bundle and put them in a tote. If I should change my mind I still have enough yarn.
Good morning, Elissa! This is awesome. Sounds to me like you're experienced at planning your projects very well. Thank you for sharing. I'm sure most of us (especially myself) can benefit from your method.💛
I often end up with a leftover skein or two when I buy yarn without a project in mind. Alternatively, I’ve driven two hours to get a skein or three to finish a blanket for one of our granddaughters.
HI Jackie! You drive over two hours? Wowser! In that case, it might be a good idea for you to buy yarn without planning, just so that you have enough. Thanks for sharing. 💛
@@pinkyhooks4939 Yes, I had the pattern for this gorgeous, round blanket but didn’t take into consideration that the yarn for one blanket had a different yardage than the other yarn. I made the same blanket for each of our granddaughters, just different yarns/colors.

That was was the plan that I was going to use for improvising but, I completely forgot when I ran out out of that yarn. lol

Hey there Nisse! Happy Friday.
I ABSOLUTELY must adopt your saying, "SABLE" ( stash aquired beyond life expectancy) LOVE IT!!!!!
Yarn companies should not be allowed to discontinue any yarn that I buy. Period.
Right on!
I agree completely!

Hello 👋 pinky hooks. I have gotten yarn in a giveaway and when I tried to match it was dye lit trouble.

@jackiedickson7295 - Do you crochet or knit?
@ Both, but I only learned to knit in the last year and crocheted for over 20.
@jackiedickson7295 Very nice!
