Hi Charlie! I want to ask you, what level of Spanish do you think you are at right now? What have your tutors told you about that? Levels are usually classified as: A1 (basic), A2 (pre-intermediate), B1 (intermediate), B2 (upper-intermediate), C1 and C2 (high level). I ask you with all due respect, I hope I don' don't make you uncomfortable with my question. Excuse me if I have mistakes, English is not my native language.
I think I’m somewhere inside of B1-B2 it’s definitely conversational, but the native speaker does have to pay attention and figure out what I’m trying to say sometimes🫣. Duolingo says that I am B1🤗
Great job Charlie. Vas muy bien con tu espanol! Interestingly I had a class today with Maria Fernanda. I enjoyed it. She's very easy to talk to and does a great job with keeping the conversation free flowing. By the way the other platform she spoke about and didn't want to mention by name is definitely Preply.
😁. Thanks! That’s cool you took a class with Mafe. I’ve never actually tried properly but for me, I’ve been really happy with how Italki works the only thing that I wish it would change is to keep allowing people to do instant lessons after their three trials are used.
No, I haven’t had any teachers from Spain, but my wife and I became friends with a couple from Spain this year and I get a chance to listen to their accent when we’re at dinner Every now and then🙌. I’ve probably had between 20 and 30 tutors on italki over the last 4 1/2 years but consistently cycle through about 10. And every once in a while, I try a new conversation with a new tutor because first conversations are where I find. I really see how much I have improved.
@@CharliesSpanishJourney What do you think of the Spaniards’ accent? I happen to like their pronunciation of the “c” and “z” and there are also some vocabulary differences from Latin American vocabulary that I like too. I really enjoy your videos. The only problem is not being able to hear very well at times so I miss some things.
@@clarencehammer3556 I tend to like their accent also I’ve also watched a handful of movies on Netflix from Spain. But honestly outside of italki, I still have trouble keeping up with real conversations or movies and shows🫣

How many different Italki teachers do you have? All from Latin America? No one from Spain?
