I feel really bad for Andrews. This is 100% the pressure getting to him. It reminds me of when i was 12 and being wide open and the ball bouncing off my chest. Everything slows 100% down in moments like this and if you cant push those invasive thoughts out of your head, this is often the result. In some regards tailbacks have it much easier. Outside of a fumble no one is going to scrutinize you not juking a defender one on one when the ball was given to you in your belly. For anyone who has ever played a skill position past the age of 13, blowing the game like this are what nightmares are made of, especially after the inexcusable fumble on the previous drive.
@@MrTekKnowledge absolutely bro, that’s coaching. Likely should’ve been promoted but is always limited because we want to make Mark the “greatest” Ravens receiver which is a stretch, he was there when we had no one else. It’s Harbs playing favorites and doghousing other guys. Same issue with our Oline with the Felele at OG, 6’8 350 he’s a OT but Harbs would rather sacrifice the team for personal decisions. That’s why Henry gets stuffed every iso or downhill run and we never pull out guards. It’s favor Harbs decision over Henry strength which is stretch runs off tackle and a pulling guard etc. 100s of hrs of tape on what Henry does best Harbaugh doesn’t have a clue

"Q" is spot on! We can add this play to Ravens "what if" history with Billy Cundiff missed a game-tying 32-yard field goal. As a former baseball player, the throw probably looked like a change-up to Andrews. The play was reminiscent of Bill Buckner's famous error at first base during Game 6 of the 1986 World Series against the Mets. The Ravens will return!
To put it in proper context Chris selected the Ravens to win, he picked Lamar to be MVP, so with that out of the way, I don't understand the blow back with these comments. There wasn't anything he said that wasn't incorrect. It seemed like Lamar was hesitant on the throw, he pump faked up and tossed like he didn't want to make a mistake. It hit Mark in the hands and he should have caught it but I'm for sure that when they practiced that the ball was on the right side of Mark outside of the pile on.

Lamar threw the ball as soon as Andrews is open and placed it in a catch zone, low and slightly inside, that kept Mark inside the pylon for the catch. It was a team loss and this was a crucial play.
How was it late when it was in bounds with Mark wide open.? You would think a defender was there to knock it out but they weren't!! It was on time and in the endzone!
Thank you! I have been saying this since Sunday. All of the Lamar fans have been arguing with me. I told them that Lamar could have placed that ball much better.
God forbid we mention that had Harbaugh not gone for a missed 2-point conversion earlier, an easy point-after kick would have tied the time. John Harbaugh is Mike Tomlin 2.0 and needs to start owning these predictable failures.
If they had kicked the extra point to get to 20 we wouldn't be talking about it at all... Coaching is just as much to blame as anything.... Yes Mark Andrews dropped a potential game tying pass... Anyone who knows football knows it's More than 1 play that decides a game...

@@StudentOfLife365 Yeah I agree. I actually got up and went to the bathroom after they scored that touchdown, I came back and they were talking about the missed 2 point conversion. I knew right then we were doomed. I love Harb's but that was a bad coaching decision.
When I first seen it, I thought it was thrown at a weird angle and a little low because Andrew‘s had to squat down and lower himself, plus it was freezing out and the ball had snow on it so it wasn’t as easy as people think, not like it hit him in the bread basket when he’s standing up
Why and How did Andrews drop the ball? Let's brainstorm... 1. Slippery snow conditions...unsure footing. 2. Snow got in his eye? 3. Expected ball sooner, i.e. later throw stressed him out suddenly. 4. Bills crowd distracted his focus. 5. High expectation in win-or-go-home game quickly chipped his confidence. 6. Cold temp tightened up his hands. 7. Ball more rigid than in warmer weather. 8. Mind thinking more about dropping the ball than confident in catching it. 9. Out-of-sync rhythm with Lamar as opposed to countless times practicing the play in very different conditions. ( Any or all of these possibilities can be factual, but a mature professional will just say, "Should have caught it." At the same time: If the Bills had played worse, if the Ravens had played better, then this one catch wouldn't have been the tempting opportunity to scapegoat Andrews as it is. Let's be honest: Why didn't others catch their passes as well? Why don't we scrutinize them as heavily as well? Because we don't hold others as equally as accountable, deny the pain and suffering of earlier mistakes, THEN focus on a last play. Typical human behavior, not that it's fair, nuanced and mature. )
Lamar made that catch tougher than need be bottom line, he hesitated and threw it soft forcing Mark to turn around and adjust to complete the catch… all Simms said is Lamar played a part. Why is nuance so hard for people to grasp.
@@kamarifit Mark does that baseball slide almost every time he catches. Raven ran this same play a few times and it’s what mark does. His leg injury causes him to want drop early. Nothing forced him to break stride, he’s facing Lamar. Him trying to slide caused him to lose footing
Man that’s big mark Andrews and that’s action Lamar Jackson If he had that opportunity 1000 times in that situation I bet you Lamar and mark would say we got em Just missed this time
The bottom line is simple. Even if they made that play and converted that 2 point conversion. Look at the clock. There was 90 seconds and 2 timeout for Buffalo to score a field goal. I truly believe Buffalo would have won that game regardless of the outcome of that play.
@negusibe9232 no you would have tied the game at that point. Then Josh and the bills would have went down the other way and either scored a touchdown or a field goal at the very least. 90 seconds is way to much time when you only need 1 points

Idc if we don’t run at the end of the game but at least leave Henry in to sell the run. My closing statement and assessment is Harbs is a hardheaded doof who only wants to win his way
The throw wasn't great. It was late and at his knees. The conditions make that catch 10x harder even if it looks simple. If Lamar makes a good throw, it's done. Andrews catches that 99/100 times. Just unfortunate. Scapegoating Andrews for the loss when there were way more factors than a drop. Lamar had 2 turnovers that apparently has been forgotten about.
If the ball is thrown “on time” it could have been picked off. Given the circumstances Lamar placed only where Mark could get it. I hate to say it because Mark has been so reliably but it’s time for Isiah to take his spot. Isiah is more athletic and dynamic in space, never drops passes, and is better at YAC.
The tip of the ball was in his belly button. It wasn't at his knees until after he first bobbled it and tried to "re-catch" it. Then it dropped to his shins. The original pass was as perfect as it could be. He just made a mistake and tried to double catch it.
People hating on Andrew’s have every right but hate on Lamar just the same. Two costly turnovers turning the tides of the game. Lamar literally sold the game worse than Andrew’s did
I think Mark was thinking he was closer to the sideline. The pump fake threw off his timing. And I don't know if it's a pump or hesitation and at that time Mark is thinking block. Lamar should of thrown it or ran, he faked out his own man.
These national talking heads are idiots. There are 3 defenders around Andrews. Lamar pump faking made the defenders freeze because of the threat of Lamar running. Andrews would have done better to turn towards the ball more and then lean for the endzone

@@edmundrussell6044 Likely outperforms every time his number is called but John plays favorites. It’s like we forget he had break out season last year and was our #1 receiver vs KC week 1. I noticed they tried get him and some guys going every other week vs every game which is bad. Love mark he has our record but if he’s a team player he needs to take a back seat #2 TE after the leg injury and car crash. He was consistent during the stretch because we stopped looking to likely which is bs coaching.
@@edmundrussell6044 one week Zay, Isiah and Hill goes off, next week it’s Mark, Bateman and Henry and we flip flop week to week but it’s like Harbaugh doesn’t use the talent on the team. Only 1 draft pick saw the feild this year was wiggins. We drafted a WR never even got a snap until like week 14 and scored his first catch to never get a rep again. People on the outside over looked what Dionte Johnson actually was saying about not being used correctly
Don't sugar coat it, Andrews does not have good hands. He double catches everything and he takes all is weight off of his feet to focus on catching, causing him to go to the ground after almost every catchable when in motion.
Doesn't have good hands are u kidding he made so many incredible catches also the Ravens all time TD leader yes he did drop 2 no excuses gotta make those plays but to say he has bad hands come on man thats BS
Bro I've been saying this since we received Mark Andrews he is not a great hand catcher of the football he catches with his body better than his hands and he doesn't even do that great. Isaiah likely has the most softest hands on our team I mean that guy hands is pur clouds.. I respect Mark which I'm the best of luck but it's time to move on with Isaiah likely 😈
Right he double catches dam near everyd big play touchdown near the end of games. He did it in Steelers games as well
@@JBlazer88DC4LBru learn how to comprehend when reading.
U just talkin
Lamar should have caught the ball it is his fault with Lamar the narrative is plain not only should he pass the ball he need to learn how to catch his own passes
Look at the Steelers game on Dec 21st. The td pass to him was between the numbers and he almost dropped it.
Yup he juggle that one and almost dropped it. Like dude needs to just retire
The damn rule as a receiver is if it touches your hands you catch the damn ball at the end of the day they had to many turn over
What are y'all talking about?? He dropped the frickin Ball!! No commentary needed. This discussion is a waste of time
That ball couldn't of been thrown any better.. Andrew's one of the highest paid pass catching TE in The National football league TOP 3 (No excuses) #89 making at least 1.2M pre game maybe better.
Couldn’t have been thrown better 😂 are you kidding me 😮 that pass wasn’t in the proper spot
That catch would not have made top one hundred catches of the year, so that was a catchable ball.
Right!! The Likely TD pass was way harder than that!!
The dropped two point conversion wouldn't of mattered if he hadnt fumbled in Buffalo territory a drive prior...
Doesn’t matter what happened before the play. He’s supposed to catch that pass.
Easier? Man my 2yr old daughter coulda caught that! It was such a soft pass ..he made it easier, softer on purpose to make sure he catches it
Haven’t you ever caught anything thrown to you? Simms is right, Lamar gets half the blame.
@ yes I played TE in high school in Kentucky. I’m 6”4…I’ve played in cold weather. That’s how I can tell Lamar took something off the pass because of the weather to ensure he had an easy catch ! We all seen it, he dropped a more then catchable ball …twice
@@tonys273 Exactly!!! I don't wanna hear that it wasn't a catchable ball, he threw it softly to guarantee an easy wife open catch!! The Likely TD pass was way harder than that one!!!
@@tonys273who did you play for in Kentucky?
@@smoothp9521 Louisville Male..I know a lil something.
Absolutely ridiculous to blame that drop on the quarterback. It hits him in his hands. A pop Warner child would have caught that pass.
I said that as a giants fan Nabers and The rest of them let Danny jones down lead the league in drops
But we have a team now and we gotta use them. Likely has never disappointed before so why does go from 9 catches week 1 to maybe 1 or 2 every other week when mark returns.
This is on the receiver. Totally catchable ball -- it hit him in the breadbasket. Football is still a team sport and it's a game of inches.
Nabers dropped Danny Dimes 4 and 3 and no black analysts were saying anything about Nabers it was all on dimes
Catchable yes but not a great throw at all by Lamar it should be out in front of Andrew’s not behind him
We get nervous in big situation. We leave that out We question ourselves in the moment. Our confidence weavers in that moment, now there's doubt and you can't believe. What you thought could never happens, Happens.😕 The emotional pressure at that time is hard to describe. But Q did great and a outstanding job of explaining it. 100%
that means we r not mentally tough and that falls on the head coach this has been a trend since 2013 after the old heads left
It was the same throw that he dropped earlier. No excuses
That ball was right in the numbers they even showed it in slow motion screenshot Chris Sims is just another guy pushing the goal post
Bullshit.... Lamar threw the ball in his basket
🎉he dropped the shit
It hit his hands 🙌🏾 WTF 😬
Didn’t catch it with his hands, allowed the ball to get to his body. Nerves period, trying to be extra careful resulting in poor form
That's hilarious! The "Q" reference. Classic take!
Real men take accountability as Lamar did. Let’s go!!!
The dude dropped the ball plain and simple.
He was trying to give him an easy pass, how easy could it get when the ball hit his hands TWICE!!??? Ain't no way that's on Lamar!!
BS...Pat Mahomes, Joe Montana, Tom Brady have all turned thr ball over multiple times in a playoff game..AND STILL WON. Supporting cast didnt fail them...
Man wtf you talking about
Listen! Lamar Jackson will NEVER win a Super Bowl! They say he is the Michael Jordan of the NFL, ya ok! The games are way too close with him! If you're just a regular-season player, say so! There is no way that he is the Michael Jordan of the NFL!
He is the Lebron James of the NFL
Charlie Barkley
Andrews dropped the ball end of story.
We're be good next it's hard to take, but the Ravens i know they can't wait!
Simms you're stupid. I'm a die heart ravens fan. But to put the blame on lamar when the ball was in Mark's chest is just idiotic.
That ball hit Andrews right in the numbers..
I think he over thought it Andrew probably still thinking about that fumble
This man has been thinking about fumbling touchdowns his entire career. He doesn’t have a playoff touchdown, that’s not his first fumbling rodeo
Mark knew it was his fault. That's why he didn't come to the post-game conference. No excuses for Andrews. Once the ball touches your hands it's on you
@@TheBlkpaladinwell said. Andrews has to take responsibility and just learn from it and get better. I’m an Andrews fan but I can’t lie Likely is definitely becoming a threat and star.
He ain't thinking about that fumble, he's thinking about the last play of the game!!
@DominicDaGreatest indeed, plus it's almost contract time for Isiah. The Ravens aren'tt going to pay two tightends
Lamar threw the ball as soon as Andrews is open and placed it in a catch zone, low and slightly inside, that kept Mark inside the pylon for the catch. It was a team loss and this was a crucial play.
only an idiot would call a dying pass behind the tight end keeping it inside the piling a great pass
@philipvaughn1886 Reading is fundamental!
He’s right it was a second late but he was tryna make it easy for him too
How was it late when it was in bounds with Mark wide open.? You would think a defender was there to knock it out but they weren't!! It was on time and in the endzone!
@ watch closely from the right angle he definitely should’ve caught it tho
EVERY BODY WANTS TO BLAME LAMAR JACKSON BECAUSE ALL THOSE EXPERTS SAID HE NEED TO BE WR HE NEGOTIATE HIS ON CONTRACT THEY ALWAYS HATE ON HIM BUT I AM A REAL RAVENS FOR LIFE WE WILL BE BACK EVERY YEAR AS LONG WE GOT LAMAR JACKSON
It wasn't a great pass in bad conditions. But how about we just put the ball in the hands of running backs averaging 6+ yards per carry? I swear I've seen this horror flick before...
We seems to always get away from what get us to the playoffs
@@deaddropholiday I’m not mad at the play call I’m mad at elementary level personnel schemes. Henry on sideline = Pass every time. you can coach middle schoolers on that. How do you sell the run with the running back off the feild? Promise Mark would’ve been even more open on a play action WITH HENRY on the feild. Harbaugh is the issue in my eyes.
Man, just catch the ball with authority and go in the end zone.
They should have never been in this position where the had to go for 2 to tie the game. The 3 turn overs are what killed them.
No that decision to go for 2 in the 3rd Qt was what ultimately did it!! Why are we going for 2 to try to tie the game when there still a whole quarter to play.? Take the points!!! Had we went for the extra point and made it 20 - 21, we would've only needed an extra point to tie it in that situation!!! It made no sense! We don't need to match their points in the 3rd Qt!!!
@@StudentOfLife365 Yeah I agree. I actually got up and went to the bathroom after they scored that touchdown, I came back and they were talking about the missed 2 point conversion. I knew right then we were doomed. I love Harb's but that was a bad coaching decision.
@@barrygunning4424 he does it every year and keeps his job because he “wins a lot” such bs
When I first seen it, I thought it was thrown at a weird angle and a little low because Andrew‘s had to squat down and lower himself, plus it was freezing out and the ball had snow on it so it wasn’t as easy as people think, not like it hit him in the bread basket when he’s standing up
Mark Andrews is not a choke artist, and we know that he has caught over 100 more difficult passes. He is human and simply choked in this moment.
Chris Simms take was very brief, clear … Qadry Ismails response was long winded multitude of words, fugazzi unclear… real recognize real…
This is stupid it's plain to see her just dropped it. As odd as it is these things happen. It wasn't the throw
I don’t care what anybody says Andrew’s body language and whatever attitude has me questioning things
7 million+ a 4 million bonus..For ball dropping...when it counts most....
Typical human behavior, not that it's fair, nuanced and mature. )
Chris is right From what I'm seeing
Please don't forget the Ravens are really imposters. The Cleveland Browns 😂😂😂
98 out of 100 cuz he didn't make the catch on the exact same play against the steelers. And this was 1000% less difficult to reel in
Man that’s big mark Andrews and that’s action Lamar Jackson
If he had that opportunity 1000 times in that situation
I bet you Lamar and mark would say we got em
Just missed this time
So he throws it and catches it
Unbelievable
The league is RIGGED! PERIOD!
Yeah I can agree and after Andrews fumble the cameras was in Andrews he was looking suspicious. That Lamar fumble look scripted as well.
I will agree with you on that if Lamar ever wins a Superbowl
TURN OVERS ARE THE DESIDING FACTOR IN THE PLAYOFFS THE TEAM THAT TURNS THE BALL OVER IN THE PLAYOFFS GENERALLY doesn't win
The bottom line is simple. Even if they made that play and converted that 2 point conversion. Look at the clock. There was 90 seconds and 2 timeout for Buffalo to score a field goal. I truly believe Buffalo would have won that game regardless of the outcome of that play.
Exactly. It's Josh F@cking Allen!
Yea but they offense was moving the ball down field the 2nd half, if it wasn't for Mark fumble the Ravens was going up on scoreboard...
@negusibe9232 no you would have tied the game at that point. Then Josh and the bills would have went down the other way and either scored a touchdown or a field goal at the very least. 90 seconds is way to much time when you only need 1 points
@@ericsinclair1826 Bills scored 6 points in 2nd half and Josh for the game had 127 yards and 0 passing TDs. No guarantee they were going to score and got gifted a win basically
You don't know that though, you act like Josh Allen couldn't throw a pick or the defense couldn't force a fumble or even get a stop. You don't know what would've happened.
It's football and people make mistakes
Q. One of my favorite Star Trek characters.
Harbaugh was trying to give his guy Andrew’s a chance to redeem himself for that fumble when he should have let likely run this route smh I can’t stand out coaches . They want to do thing their way and won’t he haiku if we won unless it was done their way
@@spiritualwarexposed3145 100% year after year Harb cost us big doing things his way.
Not play guys because they’re young is 1, think about how Ardarius Washington never got a chance until this year, pretty much bench road his whole rookie contract. Then plays contact year??? Yall already gave Marcus 20ms. This is why we lose so many guys
Only 1 rookie saw the feild which is Wiggins, but Tez Walker gets 1 catch for 1 Td to never return again.
2 is the doghouse… Harbs WILL NOT play u if he don’t like you. This is what Dionte Johnson said but they made him out to be a bad guy…but Harbs has a history of this. You can look at our Oline and see the same Felele is a OT he’s playing OG because that’s what Harbs wants him. No one else gets a rep thats why we don’t have a power run game with pulling guards like Henry likes, we can only truly run in stretch run situation and Lamar has to run like chicken with his head cut off.
3 He’s sabotages us on game day by gambling and being undicipled. Why go for 2 in the 3rd? That really cost us. Using 2 timeouts early at halftime AND THE 4th ? Come on bro…At the end of the game if the bills chose to go for it instead of 3 we’d lose anyway I think bills coach was being nice because a TD ended the game if they don’t convert we have to drive the feild 99yards… Bills gave us a chance by doing a fg
Last but not least is personnel, taking Henry our the game is obviously a pass.
That catch was right in his hands. Late, low, behind or however else you wanna describe it it hit him right in the bread basket. No excuses
Take your maga agenda elsewhere
Lamar had 2 TO but that ball was not at his knees. It hit his belt line
No excuse he should've caught that ball.
Dear RAVEN MEDIA, We CHOKED.! Let's admit it.. TAKE OWNERSHIP and move on.

if it was catchable that the bottom line, he a pro bowler and all pro
People hating on Andrew’s have every right but hate on Lamar just the same. Two costly turnovers turning the tides of the game. Lamar literally sold the game worse than Andrew’s did
I think Mark was thinking he was closer to the sideline. The pump fake threw off his timing. And I don't know if it's a pump or hesitation and at that time Mark is thinking block. Lamar should of thrown it or ran, he faked out his own man.
I think he dropped it when his feet started to slip and he lost concentration for a moment and couldn't retain it after the bobble.
Lamar didn’t have on gloves and this big TE got on gloves and can’t catch cold smh
These national talking heads are idiots. There are 3 defenders around Andrews. Lamar pump faking made the defenders freeze because of the threat of Lamar running. Andrews would have done better to turn towards the ball more and then lean for the endzone
Wasn't meant to be. Just a mess up. What happen it hit his chest, we've all seen where the receiver is supposed to catch with his hands. It bumped his chest took a funny bounce. It'll haunt them for the rest of their life.
Only Lamar gets this BS commentary around his play. Just imagine if this was Tim Brady throwing this pass and the ball being dropped.
The national media is so full of crap.
It's Likely's time folks plain and simple! I see Andrews bobbling catches all the time. Go look at his highlights.
