Would you consider doing a video on how those who've been home for years due to caregiving for a loved one can re-enter the workforce & for degree holders what skills to add or how to highlight what else they may have done that can be transferable skills (example:volunteer work)? Not just for me. I think a LOT of Moms/Caregivers are going to be looking in 2025.
“They don’t feel stuck with you! Why do you feel stuck with them?!” FACTS!!! 💯 I learned early on after seeing how a Fortune 500 company I worked for laid off people (including top positions/high earners) periodically to meet whatever business change or goal that corporate America will always do what is best for them. We (you) have to do what is best for you!
Right on time! Swear I needed this. Once I took my emotions out of my job things changed. I just look it as a temporary tool to finance my life and goals until the next phase of my life.
I'm still going to challenge you here. 1) you likely have PLENTY of skills you are overlooking and 2) if you feel you don't have much skills, you can get more. We live in a time where learning new things is so accessible. So it's your CHOICE to expand your skillset. You're not stuck. You have options, you just need to decide which ones you want to take - expand skill set or keep using the skills you have, neither of those options says you're stuck both say you're CHOOSING.
I am thankful that you shared this. I have been feeling this way for a while. Currently, my employer has decreased our working hours to 32 a week, and it is causing some difficulties. I appreciate you so much for your insight and motivation to make some things happen. 😀
I am learning now; my job is not who I am it is what I do. Planning your worst case scenerio is a great way to conquer my fear of the unknown. I always feel more empowered, and confident in my abilities after watching your videos. Great advice! Keep up the good work.
During ExodUS Summit I realized that what was holding me back was fear and I did exactly what you recommend: put a name to those fears/worst case scenarios, then figured out how to take care of myself while I got back on my feet. It's time for me to re-read that list, so thanks for the reminder!
I need a career transition plan from working full-time with a consistent flow of income to now being a retired 58 year old woman who doesn't want to work in an office and need flexibility.
@@SammyNdlovu1212 I also have debt to clear and emergency savings to build up but I still don’t feel stuck. As I said, stuck is an indication that you are a victim, when the real truth is that we are making choices. The debt I am in, is bc of choices I made. The money I spent instead of putting it into savings was my choice. If I don’t like my job, I can choose to work on getting another one, or if I don’t like my career I can choose to skill into another one, or if I don’t want to do those things I can accept that I am making the choice to stay at this job I don’t like so that I can reach my goals of paying off debt and building up my savings. Either way, I’m making choices. The way I see it as long as you believe you’re stuck, then you believe life is happening to you and you have no choices, you are powerless. If you believe that these are all decisions and choices you are making then you also know you have the power to make different ones.
This video is great as I’m watching it walking into a job that causes me stress. This video will take me into a weekend of soul searching and crunching numbers. I wish the ability to go to my parents house was available to me but my mom has passed on to the other side and my dad lives with his siblings. Thank you for this video 😊
This was the conversation I needed to hear! The car video is lit btw ;-) So powerful - "we always have choices and options...we are never stuck...whether we choose to stay or go, we are making a decision one way or the other"...I'm going to do the activity you mentioned as to what do I gain by going and what do I gain by leaving...
Hello dear, here watching and supporting, my fellow content creator, thanks for posting this content, here to encourage you to keep going, keep pushing forward, thumbs up and blessing to you
Great Video I agree you have to have a plan in place way in advance. I have seen people do too much on a job you can put that extra energy into your own business.
Right now i feel stuck. Because I'm so trying to scale my business and things have been slow. I feel like I have to go back to the kind of career that drained me for awhile
I feel so stuck in my job its crazy!! I am waiting on new openings in my company because I like the company, I just h8 what I do. It pays the bills so I feel stuck.
but you aren't stuck. Based on what you said, you are CHOOSING to stay there to pay your bills while you wait on new openings because you like the company. You're not a victim and you're not stuck, you have too much power to be stuck! You are choosing to deal with it for now because you have a bigger picture in mind...which I think is very reasonable.
My worst case scenario is being homeless. I have no savings, parents are deceased. I do not have healthy relationship with my 2 living siblings ( my closest is deceased). I'm toughing it out until I can independently walk away or only use as supplement. Being debt free and keeping expenses low are keys to yr freedom
**hugs** I totally understand that. So once you identify your worst fear, the next step is to think about what you would do if that fear was realized. What would you do if your home was taken from you and you found yourself homeless? Think about that. Who could you stay with? How much money would you need to have to get another place? What would you do to make extra money to get a place? Could you consider house sitting or pet sitting (which is also house sitting just with pets)? I love that you are clear on WHY you are continuing to remain in your situation. It's not b/c you're stuck, it's because you're CHOOSING to work towards being debt free.
@LibryiaJones1 I have asked myself those questions. Thankfully, I have a small support system that would allow me some relief to hopefully not free fall completely. I'm absolutely terrified of the possibility, but I'm hopeful that I'll be ok. Edit.. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. You're very inspiring to many people. God bless.
Anyone need a pep talk today?? Feeling stuck in your job! Let me know if these examples were helpful.
Thankyou for this msg!!🎉

“You know why you scared?… because you haven’t put a plan in place…you’re making fear based decisions” so simple 😮💨
Taking your emotions out of your job is the best advise I ever heard. Own your emotions & not give them to the job. Love that!!❤❤
“They don’t feel stuck with you! I have lived my worse case scenario and never again. Trying to focus on building multiple streams of income.
Ditto!!
My job has stressed me out and make depressed. I have to make a choice.
Make it. You are WORTH it!!🙏🏽
You better preach. This EXACTLY why I Quit my F/T 3 weeks ago to completely focus on my side hustle turned F/T. Loving it.
Congratulations! 🎉🎊
Good for you. I wish you ALL the best🤗
I want to be a permanent remote worker and enjoy my ability to control my time and money flow.
I totally agree.
I’m quitting after Christmas! lol. Love this message ✨🙏🏾
Me too! I’m scared but imma do it 😂
@ we can do it with proper planning! 🙏🏾
Right on time! Swear I needed this. Once I took my emotions out of my job things changed. I just look it as a temporary tool to finance my life and goals until the next phase of my life.
This! Jobs are simply tools and ladders.
I have always known that the reason why I feel stuck is because of not having much skills and working for myself. But I so appreciate this video

Yes, being neutral is empowering. Thank you for sharing.
I like your thinking to the job approach of detaching yourself emotionally, especially if you are unhappy in your job.
During ExodUS Summit I realized that what was holding me back was fear and I did exactly what you recommend: put a name to those fears/worst case scenarios, then figured out how to take care of myself while I got back on my feet. It's time for me to re-read that list, so thanks for the reminder!

Facts, i am sleeping on skills myself. I love anything automation!!
Thank you for the pep talk! I really needed to hear this. Respect.

Yeah
I love the idea of being neutral while employed. Great perspective here.
Great video. Great gems 💎
2:15 car videos have great acoustics. I don’t need an external mic or lighting in a car 😊
I don't know how long you've been on TH-cam but I just found your page and I love it. Thank you for this message it's definitely a motivation. 😊
