Pcso and cops shouldn’t be allowed to lie to the civilians they serve , it should be an offence !
It is, s26 Criminal Justice and Courts Act. It is a criminal offence for police to misuse (either under or overuse) an Act they should know. It still allows for mistakes with infrequently used laws. But all police should know their basic powers.
Not sure they are lying (some probably and some trying to catch you out) but maybe not fully aware of the law..

The PCSO should be charged under section 26 of the criminal justice act. Look it up because a lot more police are going to lose their jobs in the future because of it.
Just looked it up, A very interesting piece of Legislation is section 26 of PACE. All citizens should be aware of this.

Simple, if I am breaking your company policy, either sack me, discipline me or dock my wages. Well if they are taking your photo during working time can you request it under GDPR and what's the penalty if they delete it.. I get annoyed when they send staff on a ONE day course with free tea, coffee and biscuits and they must have slept through most of it. Yep, 12 year old PCSO, she did mention videoing and child protection.
You can't violate "company procedure" if you aren't an employee of the company.

I suggest a complaint to professional standards alleging the PCSO committed an offence under section 26 of the criminal justice act. Misconduct in a public office or as it's sometimes described acting under colour of law. Perhaps if the powerless plastic plod took time to read her designation card she would realize that she's got as much authority as next door's cat.
I got rid of my tv licence last year all down to TH-cam 😂 and men like yourself that know what it’s all about. Ps: Norfolk and all of Scotland don’t have PCSOs as they are a drain on finances and have zero authority.

A good approach with Police who don't have a clue but insist on your details is to ask them which of their powers they are using to request your details.
Most of them have no idea and just expect everyone to answer every question they ask. PCSO's have hardly any powers at all.
It's actually an offence for Police to request details without using an appropriate Power. It's basically misfeasance/malfeasance in public office, which is a very serious offence. Malfeasance occurs when the Officer knowingly acts contrary to the law. Arresting someone for not providing details without Legal cause to do so is a good example of this.

I thought this person said he didnt have time for this. If he was my employee who would be collecting his cards at the end of the week. It seems that many people now are in non-jobs to try and keep the unemployment figures artificially low. People with no skills and no knowledge of laws, are given a high viz jacket and told to go and display how little they know about public freedoms.
