    Love to see you revisit every lineups in ThinkPad every year to keep us updated. Nice review!

      absolutely. its important to look at how these things evolve over time, especially when sometimes people might be picking these up a year or two later :)

      @@TechGuyBeau Thank you so much for this, next time could you do a quick run through the bios and uefi settings. Also Do you find that the hinges are good, and how long does the battery last. Thanks

    Started using an old 6th gen 2c/4t intel ThinkPad at work... Now I kinda understand why it has such a loyal following.
    Sturdy little guy! Built like Rocky's chin!

    Amazing review as usual !! I has the AMD variant with 7735u and maxed up by myself to 16 already included plus 32gb of Ram plus 512 SSD but added additional 2tb in the SSD empty slot and is incredible amazing.
    Installed Linux Mint 22 since day 1 and so far so great. Temps are great, fan is usually off/deactivated when web browsing and office work and even can do a little bit of Gaming on it. For example Spider Man remastered at 1080p with FSR and Frame generation got 60fps constantly running with Steam and Proton in Linux Mint / Ubuntu.
    The only real downsize of the laptop is the screen which is OKish if you use mainly this laptop but as soon as you compare with any other laptop like macbook air or yoga 7 or dell xps it feels like Lenovo should had enable the upgrad option to 2.2k globally.

      Fantastic laptop. id LOVE to see the 1400p/2.2k option as paid upgrade option

    Most slept on series of the ThinkPad. Spare M.2 slot, dual slot upgradeable Ram.
    Ps: eucalyptus spray and microfiber towel for fingerprint marks.

    The E series is super weird in the context of what T and P series offers within Lenovo's 14" models. In my opinion they should do the dual SSD thing in both T and P series. Up until 2020 there's a functionality in the WWAN slot where you can put B+M key SSD into it and install system on it while having 2nd drive for storage. This is super useful feature to me and many other people. Lenovo should either do 2x2242 slot across all their 14" machines or remove BIOS whitelist for WWAN slot SSD
    just a little PSA for you here 😂

      Ye man why the f is the e14 g6 more uprgadable than the 9/10 ifixit score t14 g5 ? it's a joke lol xd expect the keyboard e14 g6 is just more superior in repairability it's a joke.. I'm thinking about getting a e14 g6 becouse without OS and 16gb ram / 500 gb ssd it's almost as cheap as a used older T model .... Lenovo the f u doing

    Its 10% more expensive but offers higher options.

    Thanks for the review...any chance you could review the E16 Gen 2 with the 1600p display? I guess it's very similar but I am yet to find a good review of that display...

    I have an E14 from work. I still use my Lenovo W541. With upgrades it's still fast as the E14.

    Good review! There is a 57wh battery option in Asia. Ultra 5 125h with Arc graphics would be a good option to get.

    Is it possible to charge it with Power Bank via the USB port ? This can be useful in long meeting.

    Hello! Love from India❤. How do you see the Thinkbook 16Gen7 stack up to the ThinkPad E16 Gen2, especially while considering the fact that the Thinkbook offers a 71Wh battery over the 57Wh battery in the E16? Am really not sure if the ThinkPad or the Thinkbook would be a good choice considering battery and build quality of both. I intend to use the Core Ultra 5 or 7H version with the better screen ofcourse. Please do share your thoughts. Many thanks!

      if these come with Lunar Lake Intel would be killer

  • @ZeDarkLord
    @ZeDarkLord 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hey, just a correction. These aren't the latest Intel Core Ultra CPUs, it's Series ( and the latest is Series 2 ), the difference between these two is that the Series 2 has much better efficiency and doesn't heat up as much and thus doesn't throttle as much as Series 1.
    Just wanted to correct that part. Otherwise, a pretty fine video.

    • @EpicBattleAxe1
      @EpicBattleAxe1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Can you point me towards the series 2 version as I was going to buy this but can't online anything about series 2. Even on lenovos website

    • @ZeDarkLord
      @ZeDarkLord หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @EpicBattleAxe1 AFAIK Think pads with series 2/Lunar Lake is still in the process of being launched. You may have to wait a little while before it becomes available for the general public.

    • @EpicBattleAxe1
      @EpicBattleAxe1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ZeDarkLord thanks I'm in no rush to buy it.
      I don't really use a PC as the last one I bought was way back in 2011 lol.
      Would you recommend to wait to see how it is as second gen is usually better
      What's the difference between lunar lake and arrow lake mobile CPUs? Just read on wiki it's there's h and hx what should I look for?

    Hi guys i am going to buy a new laptop and i am considering Thinkpad E14 Gen 6, Thinkbook 14 Gen 7, and ideapad 5 pro 14. which one do you suggest? i am going to buy the core ultra 7 155H variant with at least 32 gb of ram for intense usage. (engineering design and also intense computations for my dissertation). SO i think cooling is really important for me. which one of these has better cooling system?

    Even it's a previous generation, I'd go with AMD for three reasons: a lot cheaper, better GPUs for the price and they are still capable chips

    I can't help but understand why they're still stuck with Rubbish 45% NTSC panels in 800$ / more business laptop.
    Like seriously, 45% NTSC panel shouldn't exist in laptop 1000$ / Grands.
    Not mention the with Awful 47Wh, and Mediocre 57Wh battery, should be fit 65/70Wh.

  • @LeGatoDarko
    @LeGatoDarko 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    well... I have e16 with intel 155H and 64Gb of RAM and .. cinebench max score is 11k (which I find very so-so because my legion7 which is 3 years old gets 12.5k), under load this thing gets loud, speakers - are disaster :) web cam is great, IR cam for windows hello (and fingerprint sensor) is awesome, battery life is mediocre, keyboard is great (I find Thinkpad's keyboard slightly better than legion's 6th gen), screen - is good enough for office tasks, build quality for the price is awesome. Overall just a basic machine for the price but with great keyboard.
    P.S. Vantage on my machine does NOT allow swapping fn and ctrl which is sad.

    The e-series is not a Thinkpad! It is just another cheap Lenovo ideapad disguised in the thinkpad skin! You can't even replace the keyboard without disassembling all the parts from the top part of bottom cover!

    Don't buy these E14/E15 variants with your own money, they're garbage compared to what you get elsewhere for the same price or less. As a business device they're okay, but nothing more

      I have 4 other Lenovo models that work fine. E15 is the worst of the bunch. USB-C problems, USB-A problems. Crashed OS on day 1, requiring self-reinstall 3 times. Wow. Customer service tried to lie to me about how everything is normal for 1 year. From QC failure to CS failure. Bear in mind I was a loyal customer. Until now. This experience made me drop the whole brand. Yes they are that bad.
