- Discover what's the best 150hp outboard motor: EVINRUDE, HONDA, MERCURY, SELVA, SUZUKI, all the market leaders, except YAMAHA, were represented and the hull of the OSTREA 600 in vacuum infused fiberglass was an ideal platform to decide between them, wich is the best engine in top speed, economy and acoustic comfort.

Vous avez raison la Loi est la même partout et pour tous. Les essais ont tous été fait sur un tronçon du canal avec autorisation préalable de la capitainerie. C'est indispensable pour la sécurité de tous et ni MoteurBoat ni Ocqueteau ne plaisantent avec.

No you have to test the boat at high waves
We do it often. Just have a look to our other video like « Playing with the waves » or « ABACO 800 presentation ». But to make good comparison between outboard engines, we need flat water.

Super tournage et excellente idée de comparer à bateau égal, la puissance respective de ces moteurs hors-bord de 150 CV. Et en effet comme dit en anglais plus bas en commentaire : quel motoriste a remporté le match ?
Evinrude et ceci haut la main avec son fantastique 150 G2 HO : meilleure performance, meilleure consommation, meilleur agrément avec sa direction assistée de série que demander de plus ? Les autres motoristes, valves-adicted étaient tous dans un mouchoir de poche, tous avec d'excellents produits. Tous les résultats complets sont dans le Moteur Boat d'avril 2017. Pour le tournage, nous transmettons les compliments aux équipes de la SNIP et de Moteur Boat qui ont fait un super travail. C'est réellement deux équipes très pro pour qui nous avons beaucoup de respect.
Merci pour votre réponse rapide et très claire. Je pressentais aussi le Evinrude. C'est quand même une belle démonstration de force d'un moteur qui consomme pas tant que ça en plus. Bravo une fois de plus à toutes les personnes qui ont participé à ce fantastique test , chapeau bas. Je suis peut être un peu gourmand mais si d'autres tests de comparaison de ce genre sont prévus (rigides ou semi-rigides, in-board ou hors bord) je suis preneur !!

Hi! How is the fuel economy vs 4-stokes? I am concidering to buy 150 ho G2 model. And how is the sound, is it loud?

Where were the results for the Merc 150 Fourstroke? You showed this engine at the beginning, but only gave results for the 150 ProXS 2-stroke.
Also, the Evinrude 150HO (high output) is actually producing about 165HP, so this isn't an entirely fair comparison. It would have been fairer to use the standard 150HP G2
Based on your figures, I can't agree that the Evinrude won "hands down" . The differences were so small that they could have been influenced by prop choices.
You are right : instead of MERCURY EFI's result (38 knots @5750 rpm for 56 L/h), it's the Honda's one that has been copied a second time ! We are sorry for this. Concerning the performances of the Evinrude 150 HO, for sure the High Output exeed in real life the strict 150 HP. But at the cost of one of the lowest consumption and that's the interesting point. So it isn't that much unfair to include it in the comparison. And concenrning the propeller's choice, it is the engine manufacturers that have choosen their best propeller after several test on spot, just before the measured run wich ocured during tow consecutives days. All the figures have been recorded by the magazine reporters under the engine manufactuer's contrôle. That's why three people were on board during the test : the reporter, the manufacturer representant and the gentleman driver ! Please James : Let me go fast !

Dommage pour la comparaison il manque le meilleur groupe de motoristes marins EVINRUDE
Effectivement les tests de l'EVINRUDE ont été fait le lendemain du tournage comme pour le SELVA et n'apparaissent pas dans le tournage. Mais l'EVINRUDE 150 G2 HO était bien présent et a remporté haut la main le comparatif comme vous pouvez le lire dans les sous-titres.
