This is by far the best bean trellising technique I've ever seen. I've accidentally planted a 125' row of pink half runners, I meant to plant bush beans, and I didn't know how I was going to trellis them...now I do!! This looks like it's super strong, thank you🥀

@@craftydirt1008 It turned out beautifully, once I got the hang of it, it was super easy, no more sagging bean rows, lol. Thanks again, I love it🥀

Cant you leave the trellis there during the winter?

You can, but I like to rotate my garden each year.

I just found your channel and I was fascinated by your trellis system. The best part is how cheap it is to create the trellis and of how great looks. I live in Maine and I will be using your technique to make our trellises. It will be my first year growing pole beans so any advice would be welcome and appreciated. The soil on our property isn't good so we built two 6' × 25' planting boxes that are about 2'' tall. Would you recommend putting the pickets inside the box or outside directly against it to build my trellis?

When I put mine in a raised bed I put it in the middle and only grew beans in that raised bed so I could pick from both sides, but my bed was only 3 foot wide. As for how wide your bed is, I’d keep it to one side so you aren’t walking in your bed and compacting the soil. So my advice for pole beans is to pick them about every 5 to 7 days to keep them producing. Good luck on your adventure and thanks for watching.
