Written on twin beds in a hotel room in Newcastle England on the 26th June 63 whilst on their summer tour. Recorded 5 days later on July 1st. Released at the end of August it was number one for 4 weeks mid September -mid October, dropped no lower than number 3 for the next 7 weeks before returning to the top in late November. It was then replaced by it's follow up I Want To Hold Your Hand. She Loves You sold just shy of 2 milion copies in the UK alone.
John and Paul infamously auditioned this for Paul's father, and the father was against the "yeah yeah yeah"s which would quickly become of the social 'tells' for several years. Not just the young but a lot of people went beyond 'making fun' of them into an acknowledgement that it was joyful fun by including "yeah yeah yeah"s in jokes, in TV commercials and in everyday banter.
Thay had a fantastic feel good factor in those early days. I guess that's what gave them the massive following they enjoyed for a long time. The music scene then was all love peace and fun. "With a love like that, you know you should be glad." It's a love like that that's kept me married for 36 years. Hahaha, such joy makes a laugh leap forth... Top notch. TTFN
I saw Paul tell this story so I know it's true. This very early song was written by Paul and John at Paul's Parent's house. After completing it the boys played it for Paul's father - an amateur band leader. His father liked the song but had a suggestion. "Yeah, yeah, yeah" was grammatically incorrect. He suggested they instead say "Yes, yes, yes." Absolutely true.
Paul's dad actually said (and this was told by Paul himself many times), "son there are too many AMERICANISMS these days, why can 't you say "YES, YES, YES"? (instead of "YEAH YEAH YEAH")
Your usual excellent reaction. This is the next step in the progression of modern music, with the early Beatles incorporating Little Richard’s ‘woo” and “yeah”, and adding harmony as with the Andrews Sisters, and substituting guitars for piano and sax.
Before the Beatles, men didn't wear their hair past the tops of their ears. After the Beatles' arrival, longer/long hair remained fashionable until the very early 80s and, for rock bands, mid-90s.
Beatles band greatest hits form 1980s band by Paul John and Ringo gorge Harrison 90s . The years of band concert poster song hits record tape thank you ...
Smart commentary. Insightful, analytical w/a touch of infatuation…probably the best approach if you really want to understand the phenomenon. I’m sorry your reactions get blocked. Some people seem impervious!! I know you don’t do movie reactions, but it would be a good idea (I think) for you to watch A Hard Day’s Night sometime soon - just for your personal enjoyment. Don’t worry about blowing a chance to react to the songs in it. There are still a couple hundred more to choose from 😉.
I have done two movie reactions so far, and plan to do more. It is just rare that I have that kind of uninterrupted time to record, and then the following day to create the video files. Is the movie a documentary about the Beatles?
No, actually it’s a feature length comedy (1964?) starring the Beatles. The story involves them traveling from Liverpool to London in order to do a concert for live TV, and assorted hijinx along the way. It managed to actually give a pretty good picture of their personas and what their lives were like during Beatlemania. For a documentary focusing on that touring stage of their careers, I don’t think you can beat Ron Howard’s ‘ Eight Days a Week’.
@@shaunstuart4623 the complete title of Ron Howard's BEATLES documentary that covers 1962 through 1966 when they were touring (and you can see what "Beatlemania" was all about) is "THE BEATLES : EIGHT DAYS A WEEK ---THE TOURING YEARS" It's from 2016 and was a theatrical release and is now also available on DVD, I don't know if it is available on line or on You Tube. I saw it in the theatre 6 times and bought the DVD when that was released.
I will never sub to any channel that butchers great music the way your channel does. I want to hear the music. You make that impossible. Two thumbs down.

Still the top selling musicians of all time.
IMO, the Beatles' "I Feel Fine" has the band's most joyous lyrics. So positive and uplifting.
I feel fine is a great song… i think its my 5th fav beatles song
Paul was definitely so charismatic and charming (still is!) I stan him and I wasn’t even alive at the time lol

@@patticrichton1135 You're right. I switched things in my head. I would have loved to see the look on Paul & Johns faces after his dad said that. LOL

John Lennon…. Most Important Person In Modern Music History. “The Beatles…. Greatest Musical Group In History. Nobody else even comes close.
Everyone has their favorite, I love them all pretty equal, with George out in the lead by a smidge!!! George was just the coolest imho!
Very spooky. 5 minutes ago I was just playing this song on my piano and then came this video.
thats called law of attraction
weird seeing them all in reverse, John and George playing left handed and Paul playing right handed, when the opposite was the case! lol!
