I sat in the Michigan end zone seats and the USC end zone seats for both TEXAS Rose Bowl wins. Vince Young was magic in both games. Got my tickets hanging on the wall. Great games and great memories. Hook ‘Em!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

For Texas-USC, same friend was going to sell me his tickets for face value, $150. However, after Texas won the Ohio State game, everybody and their brother put their ticket requests in for the Rose Bowl game. I bought tickets from a ticket broker in Los Angeles for $1,100 per ticket. Bought 2 tickets. Worth every penny. Hook 'Em! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

When college football ruled 💯💯💯I was @ USC vs Texas Rose bowl championship game the best football game of all time two of the best football teams in the country I'm big USC fan and it was heartbreaking to see USC lose that close of being 3peat champions but Texas was just the better team for sure!! Great game; Great prelude to the 2006 (05 season) Rose Bowl. I love the contrasts; 04 Michigan and 03-05 USC were IFormation 'pro style' ; a style that only works if you have NFL quality QB, OL, and your 2 WR's better be able to beat man by being great route runners. If you DO have that; it's great.
05-06 Texas O is only remembered (by most fans) because of Vince Young. Some of the smarter coaches understood the real lesson; Shotgun Offense with Option can defeat even the best Pro Style O teams. Bunching up at the line is silly when Texas can spread you and send Cedric Benson and Jamaal Charles at your light boxes. It's an easier way to play; load the box I pass; defend the pass with my 3-4 targets far from the box; and I can run for BIG plays more often with all that vacated space in the middle.
Vince Young didn't look so great when you put him under center; asked him to make Chad Henne Carson Palmer type full field reads. But MOST QBs in NCAA and starting QBs in the Pros can't do that EITHER. DO SOMETHING ELSE; Air Raid, Smashmouth Spread, anything but this stubborn insistence on running offenses only 10 out of 32 Starting QBs in the NFL can run well.
Can I get a shout out to Steve Breaston. He was awesome in this game. He returned a kick off 50 yards then caught a pass and took it the other 50. Vince Young was incredible. It was like he was toying with UM defense. Woodly was a second round pick. Leon Hall, Marlon Jackson 1st rounders, but they could not wrap this guy up
2 great kick returns by Breaston that resulted in zero points. Michigan squandered this game early on but Vince Young was just unstoppable. I honestly believe he would have just scored more points if needed.
I think if you researched the roster you would find a couple other future pro bowlers besides just Vince. I am a texas fan and Vince was superman but he had a lot of talent around him.
You mean the Cal team that was destroyed by Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl-a team Texas beat by 30 points? Michigan would've annihilated Cal. Thank fuck the right team was chosen.

Kickoff coverage for Texas was horrible that day, Michigan started most drives at mid-field.

After Texas defeated USC, college teams started transitioning to the spread offense. Now, the West Coast Offense is nonexistent in College Football
Texas turned the ball over twice on their side of the field, these errors kept the game close.
Last time I checked the QB is part of the team.
