The school should definitely have snow days when the road conditions are very dangerous. That is not right to only have 30 credits of a major. I think more schools should let you take more classes in your major earlier on; I feel like it would help you decide if that career path is right for you. Schools should definitely renovate dorms before building new buildings on campus. A good topic could be ways to start your own online business or fun things to do in Ohio.

Marissa Nicole University of Michigan is a great school I went there for my undergraduate I guess there is a big rivalry between the 2 schools but I hope the best for you after college. Dont accumulate a lot of student loans and try to get a good job which is very hard these days. Are you originally from Ohio?

The whole "well rounded student" argument doesn't make sense, and especially not when it means spending two extra years in college at $25k+ per year. It is literally extortion, and no college will change if the others still are doing it, so that's why the govt will have to get involved.
I am soo with you on the general education classes. Especially when the classes you decided are maybe kinda decent enough have already been taken up !!
Here's why OSU does not have snow days. Columbus State is a commuter college, OSU Is not (half the students live in dorms). I always have food in my freezer for when it's icy or cold and can't get out. (fun in Ohio!!!!!) Almond milk is the best because it can store out of the fridge for like months, before opening it.

This is exactly how I feel and it is even worse for international students. I am in the fisher college of business which is very overrated. I get 3.5 overall GPA but I still hate the class. Basically, for all business core classes which everyone in fisher needs to take regardless of their specialization, they have junior and senior students to teach all the recitations. The problem is that even a student is studying well does not necessarily know how to teach. In my operation class, the TA seems to know how to teach but she is not prepared. The professor cannot finish all the stuff in the lecture while the TA is always not sure and assume that the professor has covered some stuff. My TA told us she literally took the job one week before the class starts. Another class that nearly all fisher students hate is business statistics 2320. I mean my professor literally knows how to teach, but the arrangement of the class makes it impossible for him to cover more than half of the material in every lecture. And because they use the old lecture video, the symbols in the statistic formula for the lecture video, textbooks, and exams are all different. You have figure out by yourself.
I do agree with some points. Yes they shouldn’t make you pay for parking. My college makes us pay $25. That’s a great amount of money to pay. My brother paid over $100 for parking. That’s crazy. The attendance policy. I like that my school give you a certain amount you can skip or be sick for before they hurt your great or kick you out of class. I think that is stupid in some ways. I love college but some things are not right.
My parking pass only let me park in the garage that I paid for. That wouldn’t even have spots half the time because they sold more passes than spots so if you didn’t get to campus at 6am the garage would be full!!!! So I paid $800 to MAYBE get a spot. 😡
Marissa Nicole see we usually have to fight for spots here too, but my school is so small if you can't fit in the parking lot next to where you live you can just park across the street or maybe a block away which isn't that awful (but when I'm lazy it's the worse).
I honestly have a love-hate relationship with my college and a lot of the things that you discussed apply to my university! Especially the parking issue and taking 3 finals in one day, it's basically hell!!
My University allows students that have more than 2 finals on the same day to take the 3rd on a different day. I don’t go to Ohio State so I don’t know if they have the same system or not, I hope that helps :) Also, my university has the same issue with the parking as well and there isn’t enough of it so students that have parking passes have to pay to use the guest garage sometimes...

I chose Osu because of its reputation and prestige. I needed the upper hand when applying to law schools and say that I’ve been to a top tire undergraduate school. 6. I lived in siebert my freshman year and I LOVED it. Technically all dorms on campus are available to freshman. It just depends on your lottery number and what order you get to choose your housing on what dorm you end up in. 7. I graduated high school with a 4.8 GPA, with honors, and on our scholars program. As well as a varsity athlete, service hours, and high ACT scores. 8. I did take the writing portion and yes you definitely should!!!! 9. Also, yes EW! Hahaha. I hope all of that helped you a little!!!! Good luck with the college search!!!

I just transferred from osu newark, i start at osu in the summer, have u ever thought about just taking uber from class to class since bus’s are always packed and its almost impossible to find somewhere to park?
I honestly love OSU. It has so many opportunities to offer, I know a lot of friends in Fisher and they LOVE it. it is a lot of work, but so worth it. the prestige and just recognition you get in the world after being an OSU alumni and a Fisher College of Business student is unmatched!
What’s really messed up is they make the folks who work at the hospital pay $$$ to park at work. It makes my friend who works their so mad. I worked at the President’s Hospital in Bethesda, MD and I didn’t pay to park. It’s all about $$$ at OSU they don’t care about anything else. I looked at OSU to finish up my degree and turned it down because I caught on to their game right away.
Isn’t that sad, something else I noticed is they REALLY don’t seem to care about student safety at all. They could do more to prevent crime on campus, but they leave it up to the students to push the button on the box with the blue light box. By the time help arrives it’s probably too late
Wow the struggle is real I'm from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 and our government universities or I can say public university is FREE for everyone and so many different majors and they pay for you around 220$ monthly to help you buying stuff for study or help you living of course we have private university for "rich people" but literately no different

OSU police don’t handle parking. CampusPARC does and their only job is to drive around checking parking lots, issuing tickets, and towing. So I would not recommend this lol.
And then they’re crammed with 1,000 people on them and you can’t get on the first time around because they’re too full so you have to wait for another bus. 😩
