Hello mr vibrant knife, you earned my sub with the ls40 video from 1 year ago. I think finding the perfect gear to use in my future arcade stick while getting obsessed about shmups etc is my next passion. I never had one, but I did play a bit on the arcades as a kid. You got my attention while sharing your thoughts on precise short actuator throw-engage/feel. I've gotten a couple WR in rally sim with wheel and pedals on pc, I'm not necessarily a talented dude, just passionate about my hobbies hehe 😀👌 Are you still happy with the ls40 and do you have some tips on my first arcade stick build?
I actually didn't really get into shmups until a bit later in life. I always thought they looked impossible and didn't really play them much when I was younger. Eventually I just got hooked and gradually better so if you have the dedication you will see improvements for sure! As for arcade stick advice. Yes, I am still very happy with the LS40. For shmups it is absolutely my favorite stick. But I have been playing fighting games recently and went back to a Sanwa JLF for that. I think the LS-32 is somewhere in the middle of those so might be a better "all purpose" lever.
