No matter whatever people say. I believe Jonathan brought out the best in Clary both in season 2 and 3. And Jonathan was the only one who loved her for who she was, even when she wasn't dark Clary. He did everything he could just for her. Jonathan's death was the most painful one in the entire show. No-one deserves to die without getting a chance to live. P.S : this edit is amazing! I love how she sacrificed everything for him I just wish we got a moment to find out if Jonathan was at peace and he got to meet Jocelyn that would’ve been beautiful to see his birth mother and what clary did to him was purge the demon blood out of him so he could be at peace she finally understood what he was like the pain, torture by Lilith and the possessive love by her as well screwed him up
Read the books she uses a holy fire sword and as the evil is leaving him you get to see what he would have been if he hadn’t been injected with demon blood. He died in his mother’s arm and spends his last moments of his life to save them all from the endarkened ones he created (shadow hunters forced to drink from the immortal cup that they had remade, with demon blood)
heres the thing for people saying that clary just murdered jonathan, she didnt , she eliminated the demon part of him and let him with full humanity on, but because jonathan didnt have any humanity left he died instantly,
I'm sad tho that the real Jonathan didn't get to talk to her for jus a little bitt (like in the books) it would've been even more heartbreaking if it had a perfect dialogue

I loved Luke Baines as Jonathan to be completely honest I think I’m with Katherine McNamara, Jonathan Morgenstern has got to be my favorite character besides Clary. LOVE THIS! I watched it on Twitter and I was so struck because I legitimately thought I had made this video lmao. It's very rare to see this type of character study editing in the SH community. So many of the sequences you put in just feel right and really pick apart the story and find the connecting points. You should be proud of this work; I love it.
Jonathan loved just one person in the world, and It was Clary.....but the demon blood made him be instable.....If Valentine hadn't made these damm experiments on his children, Clary and Jonathan would have been more connected then parabatai
i know this may be a unpopular opinion and i may get hate for it but i really did feel for jonathan. he did do many many horrible things and the incest part of the storyline was disgusting but...in my opinion it was absolutely heartbreaking watching him die. he was raised by two horrible people who raised him to be that way and was never really taught the right way to love or morals or anything like that. he just wanted clary to love him in his own way that is hard to understand. i thought he was a complex character that was interesting. and even in the show when both lilith and valentine told him that clary didn’t love him that must be really hard to hear. it made me cry so much when he died. idk please no hate that’s just kind of what i thought while watching. also love the video it was beautiful and you’re really talented!

EVERYTIME HE TRIED TO BE THERE FOR HER SHE PUSHED HIM AWAY , TRIED TO HURT HIM , TRIED TO KILL HIM , AND WANTED HIM DEAD B4 SHE KNEW HIM. all he wanted was love from his sister. to desperately have a connection with her and be her family. and she didnt even let him try. she couldnt even look past his mistakes. that was her brother she should've been therr for him through it all. he cried for her , yelled out for her and even when they injected him with hell fire and clary was in pain he stopped it. because he couldn't see his sister in pain. jonathan did nothing wrong. clary was the villan in this clary and Jonathan moments. it was her fault. she couldve changed him , stood by him. but she left him by himself
