Wow. Such memories. When they first started doing concerts at Downstream, they used a stage crew out of Oklahoma City. We worked with Tony Bennett, Gretch Wilson, Forigener, and others. You do something I wish they did to start with. You built a spot tower. They made us carry them to the top of the Hill. Catering sat farther back from the stage. Yes thank you for the post, brought back great memories.
Ok. But this stage has been used for a lot of shows. It’s inspected every few months by engineers and they maintain that the structire of this stages is safe and sound. Other wise they would never allow it to have anybody on said stage. These people would not settle for anything less than safe , bottom line.
How is it inadequate and what's the solution? I spent a career around stagehands/riggers ... one would think those involved would recognize inadequate, problematic structures.
Given it's in a parking lot, and most all animals scurry away... zero? Maybe some insects that weren't already decimated by pesticides. Drink some clean water and touch grass.
Much respect Sir!

Get you some of those big hook clips for your lanyard, as well as a sheave for your pulls. It'll make the job so much easier!

Hello!
How do you calculate the correct number of chain links? what calculator do you use?
The bridle app is a pretty awesome tool.
Do you know who makes/ sell the black cases the rigging cables and shackles are transported in
Utility road cases
Flycase
Is that a Sam 750?
@14:18 the construction of this roof and the connection of the inner beams to the main frame looks really bad from an engineer's standpoint of view

Depends on how good catering was. I’ve worked on a few cheap ass shows where you didn’t really know what that “meat” was.
