  • Gili Selang is a divesite on the East part of Bali - where the warm water from the North coast of the island meets the cold one from the Bali / Lombok channel. It's a drift dive, with up and down currents, thermoclines and sudden shifts in temperature, meant to be done on slack tide. All sorts of pelagic fish can pass by, though we just saw a white tip shark, a barracuda, and some schools of batfish (which I couldn't capture on video as they were too far away). Still it shows the topography and provides an insight for those who want to try it themselves.
