Hey there! You gotta raise the Cables a bit higher when setting them sideways on the Pillar. If you check out the newer video tutorial I posted, I show an improved design that really helps fix this exact issue you're having :) th-cam.com/video/PV_4sLTjt90/w-d-xo.html
For most online servers, you can actually fit up to 9 Floor Foundations on the Skiff. But this design only needs 6. 2 Across, 3 front to back - all lowered down under the floor with the Fence Foundation and Pillar snaptrick. Each foundation can support up to 2 pieces outward horizontally, so yes - not much room to build. This specific design should still work within those limits though. I have a new tutorial coming out soon with a bunch of improvements to this design - stay tuned!
@@xSuperDooMx I suspected as much. Coding sees wall there and determines which side of it to put you down on when you dismount, incorrectly of course as Ark was coded by chimps. I bet you ended up putting turret further back from the wall or away from other proximal structures. I have managed to solve this stupid issue in a few contexts. I kinda couldn't be stuffed with cannonbird. Pisses me off XD
@@hinteregions Exiting the Turrets has always been weird, but the minigun turrets are almost as bad as chairs and beds - those things often throw me off the skiff, or pop me into the floor, which is completely unacceptable if we're giving rides to passengers. Sometimes just turning the skiff a bit changes which way I exit a turret. For perfect placement on the Osprey, you need to make sure the first pillar that snaps to the fence foundation does so on the higher of the 2 snap-points, so that the whole floor isn't too low. Also adding a ceiling outside the gunport, with a wall on the 'inside' side of that - then removing the ceiling, will put that wall out far enough for the Minigun Turret to get placed down in just the right spot. I've replaced the original ones with ascendant guns as well. Took me anywhere from 7-25 tries before the guns placed correctly.
@@xSuperDooMx Changing the orientation works on rafts when you can't get certain snaps; with the ballista I got thrown off less by swivelling it to the left, I think it was, before dismounting; there is a related craziness to do with elevator tracks being near walls that I don't even know how to describe. It's a bad joke even in the context of the game Ark, I agree. Being stuck in the floor was a nightmare for the first year or more of the game's existence; if you walked on a built structure, any structure, you would get stuck in the floor and need your bird to come and rescue you or have to break whatever you were standing in. Flush ceilings combined with 'nice' pillars seemed to fix that nightmare, that affected everyone all the time, and was the reason I started making my videos - truly as a community service - when with such a crap computer and no knowledge of production I had decided I shouldn't - hurt my work and other people's eyes. It must seem like a perverse thing for me of all people to say: Ark is rubbish.
@@ryanbumpas6696 idk man, this should work even with official vanilla settings! 1. Fence Foundation. 2. Snap a Pillar onto the end of the Fence Foundation. 3. Floor Foundations can then snap beside the Pillar - and should be lowered down. I'm not 100% sure about that. It might be possible. The structure-clipping prevention rules might require some extra steps to trick things into the right position. I haven't tried on official yet. There may still be hope! :)
@@foe_wredz Yee, they can also snap like that on top of stacks of Crop Plots, which gives you a lot more specific height adjustment options! Check out this other video of mine where I show a whole bunch of examples :) th-cam.com/video/k8pse2UeOAI/w-d-xo.html
Hi, yes this design can be build without the use of creative mode. I've made many of them on unofficial servers. It can probably be done on Official with the right tricks and patience.

So HOW did you fix the dismount-gun-fall-out issue? :D
Pick-Up and Put it back down over and over and over until it works XD

How in the world did you put the foundation UNDER the skiff ??
Fence foundation first, then a pillar on the end of the FF, after that the floor foundations snap lower.
Did you change any settings. Nothing I do is letting me lower foundations that low.

So this can't be done on official? So..it didn't really happen then :( sad

U know u didn't need to use all them tables
I know of a few tricks to get them like that, the tables put them at the right height i want them ;)
