It was brilliant and so pushed the edges in the 90s. I am binging it now on Hulu. My 22 year old daughter is impressed with its plot and can’t believe it was on network television nearly 30 years ago!
@@lindaambrose1334I remember enjoying it when it came in the late nineties and decided to give it a go again now. I must say I really enjoyed the two first seasons, but was disappointed in the last three.

I just love this. My wife loved this TV show, and we would watch it together before getting married. Then she decided that we would get married with this song. I loved Barry white, and that was the perfect song. Looking back 20+ years, it was one of the great moments of my life.
I miss this show, I miss this kinda ridiculous positive shit on TV and most of all, I miss me of that time. Life was just starting and everything seemed possible.
I had goosebumps the first time I saw this segment when Barry White appeared as a birthday gift to John Cage. I still get the chills every single time I see it!
Richard and Ling as always, hilarious together! 😂 The expression on John's face as he realises Barry is THERE, IN PERSON! What a gift Nelle, what a gift! Well done, girl, you well deserved to grin from ear to ear! 🥰🥰🥰

An absolute Soul, R&B and Disco legend...the man with his own Love Unlimited Orchestra and Love Unlimited Vocal Trio.....The guy has his typical commercial classics like this one here BUT OH MY LORD his list of utter facemelters is beyond words. I know this question has nothing to do with Ally McBeal or the actress who played her, but, are you or were you a fan of the Coyote Ugly movie?? I enjoyed it
How does somebody come up with these incredibly unique and entertaining story lines week after week after week? David E Kelley is certainly a master at his craft.
I jumped out of my seat when Barry entered the screen. how wonderful he had the peak in popularity thanks to the show. He was classic and irreplaceable.
I remember watching this when it aired me and my sister's jaws dropped to the floor because we couldn't believe that they actually got Barry White!! This episode is my favourite RIP the great Barry White ❤❤❤
Just brilliant. I remember enjoying Ally McBeal; but then big Barry came on.... took it to a whole new level. Knitted the storylines, gave it depth.... wonderful ensemble cast. Superb.
Far and away my all time favorite moment in the history of television. This pretty much cemented the much, much missed Ally McBeal series in my top five overall. Pure genius.
Hm, I’ll give it a shot. (Please keep in mind, in case you couldn’t tell from my avatar, that I am a hopeless Trekkie.) Spoiler warnings ahead, and in no particular order: 1. This scene. 2. The Enterprise-D reveal and launch at the end of the penultimate episode of S3 of “Star Trek: Picard”. After almost 30 years, the unsung eighth character of TNG gets her due. 3. The flash-forward finale of “Six Feet Under”. I challenge you to name a television series finale that was more perfect than this one. 4. The Kaylon takeover of the Orville at the end of Part I of “Identity” in S2 of “The Orville”-One of the greatest context switches in the history of television, when a lighthearted comedy series suddenly turned into deadly-serious science fiction drama. 5. The “lights out” finale of “The Sopranos”. Controversial, yes. Devastating, absolutely.

If you don't know the storyline; John Cage loves that song and Barry White. Whenever he was in the Unisex bathroom and heard the song on Muzac he would do a little dance.. Then through the series, more and more people would come in and join him and invent new steps. By this time, everyone in the office knew the whole routine devised over a period of time. So when they surprised him on his birthday and he decided to go up there and do his dance, they all got up knowing the whole routine. I agree with you who have reviewed this.
