bakit parang hirap yong ibang singers kantahin mga songs ni Pilita...nag-iisa Pilita lang talaga siya...walang katulad ang boses....buongbuo...at alam niyo ba...naging sikat siya sa America lalo na sa latin community in Las Vegas because at that time siya lang nakakanta ng Spanish songs doon at naging sa Australia may kanta siya naging top.of the chart...in fact there is a street in Australia named after her...Pilita's Street...first ever filipina din to win an international singing contest defeating the likes of Olivia Newton John lang naman....it's long overdue na gawaran siya ng National Artist Award in Music talaga...she is the first filipina who gave honor to the country and the first filipina singer who dared to record our legendary filipino songs in the sixties when the most popular at that time were foreign songs or english songs and filipinos were re-introduced back to our beautiful culture, the musicality of filipinos through these old songs...And she also sang in different languages/dialects...spanish, english, tagalog, cebuano, hiligaynon etc. What is difference between Pilita and Nora Aunor? Nora was already given a Naional Artist award a long time ago.It's about time for Pilita who's dedication to filipino music spanning many decades...award her while still alive as she is now very old.
