Agreed. It's one of the many reasons I love his character - He's a very brooding and rough around the edges character, but he subverts expectations in both his actions as a hero, and in his voice. His voice IS brooding, but it's also quite soft, and not dominating as you might expect from a character with his level of coldness and/or hostility. In most VAs chosen for him, anyway. While he's improved and currently is a bit closer to old VAs of Shadow, he's still quite far off. The relationship Shadow and Maria have, is without a doubt the most unbreakable bond, I have ever seen. The way shadow cares for her, and she gives it back but twice as much, is absolutely funny and cute

Maria Robotnik (in hedgehog) made by LiyuConberma herself. She made a wonderful story and her version of Maria the Hedgehog is wonderful. You know, I actually thought of a fanfic that has this exact ship, only the Maria the Hedgehog I have wasn't the same Maria but a Maria from another dimension similar to Mobius and the story was set on Earth.
Those comics have been discontinued at the moment. There’s not much else of them aside from what’s already been dubbed. Finishing this comic was one of the last things the artist, Liyuconberma, did before taking a hiatus if I remember correctly

It’s the same Maria Robotnik! The whole “sibling headcanon” it’s invented by fans who see them that way. But half of the Sonic fandom ships them! Specially in Japan! In the canon we don’t know the true nature of their relationship except the close friends they were. But she was “the closest thing Shadow ever came to love”. And there’s also huge romantic implications around them since their concept. Shiro Maekawa (their creator) wrote their relationship that way on purpose. He really supports fans shipping them, too! :)
