    My techniques in build ups hpf until 8000 Hz
    and breakdowns take the sub bass of incoming track 20 Hz frequency until 300 Hz
    These techniques give energy to the audience

    Hi thanks for the video so when your mixing would you lower the EQ frequencies with the track you are playing and raise the frequencies to the track you are bringing in correct

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's one way of doing it yes

      Don't do that, leave the eqs of the live playing track alone until its time to perform the transition. If the output starts to get louder than your used to, bring the channel faders down a notch to make some headroom. Every situation requires it's own specific method, but as a general rule of thumb it's common to kill the bass of the outgoing track at the drop of the incoming track. Imagine a fast, immediate swap of low eq rather than a slow and gradual one.

      @@digitaldjtips i'm a Keyboardist and dj! In old Pioneer equipment, this effect was called WAH! (example, Pioneer EFX 1000/500)

      Yeah it's more of a muso term in general, won't hear it much around DJs these days :)
