    Always always always liked Chris chelios. Great defensemen and a great leader. Was very happy when the red wings aquired home fro chicago

    I think all us Americans can agree Chris Chelios was a huge inspiration for us. Never give up. You can play hockey too. Chris never gave up. Chris is a huge inspiration for me and probably most American hockey players.

    Went to University of Wisconsin when he was playing for the Badgers. The guy was crazy. The whole team was. But they were a dynasty in those days. Lots of stories of their exploits which are probably better off left to history

      In his memoir, Serge Savard said he'd been told Chelios had career-limiting injuries. He admitted his information was wrong.

    5ft11 and 195lbs. Chelios was almost identical in build to Konstantinov, both played the same way and both were made of steel. Imagine if him and Vlad played together on the Red Wings!!!

      That would have been devastating! Although, with a healthy Vladdy, I wonder if the Red Wings would have traded for Chelios. The team continued to be stacked though, so probably lol
