Wow, my Mom also was from Eritrea but came to Addis when she was 7 and she love his music so much. I remember in 1996 she ask my sis to send me Efrem CD ufff alot of memories but i lost most of my family members and i am always sad. I wish we can get back those day again but it's impossible😥

Some 10 years ago I was vacationing, with friends, in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. It was a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon. We were driving in this very nice and quiet suburb. All the sudden we heard Epherm's song from one of the beautiful houses with wide open windows. We slow down the car and listen to a bit of "Godanaw". It was a powerful moment. It took me back to the childhood memories in Shemeles Habtea High school.
Same here living in best old memories. Every time I listen to his different songs, taking me back home , places I danced and had fun...more than 7000 miles back...wow. lovely songs.
Around January 2020 I was listening one of Ephraim music while I was waiting for my kid to pick him up .two Canadians who were passing on the street they turned back on and asked me what kind of music am listening to? I told them that's Ethiopian music & singer's name. They were really amazed by the power of his voice. Specially the girl she was almost cried by his voice. The song I was listening to that day was"JEMBERWAN BEMATA ......Wow Efrem he was so talented and gifted. Long life to King Ephraim!

Good music. I don't know why I'm more connected with Ethiopia than been Somali. All I know my grand grand parents were immigrated from Harar and Nazret to Southern Somalia.
I am in the new generation of Ethiopian, I was too young to understand this song during the time of its release in the 1990's. but now I am deeply hearing and understanding this great and VVIP-level song. thanks to you tubers for getting such precious old kinds of music.
Ephrem is one of the best Amharic singers Ethiopia has ever produced. He has this great voice and great way of singing. I doubt there was any one that heard his classic love songs that did not fell in love with a significant other during the 80's & 90's I am sure those that followed there after as well. Around January 2020 I was listening one of Ephraim music while I was waiting for my kid to pick him up .two Canadians who were passing on the street they turned back on and asked me what kind of music am listening to? I told them that's Ethiopian music & singer's name. They were really amazed by the power of his voice. Specially the girl she was almost cried by his voice. The song I was listening to that day was"JEMBERWAN BEMATA ......Wow Efrem he was so talented and gifted. Long life to King Ephraim!

Ephrem is one of the best Amharic singers Ethiopia has ever produced. He has this great voice and great way of singing. I doubt there was any one that heard his classic love songs that did not fell in love with a significant other during the 80's & 90's I am sure those that followed there after as well.
