Used to play this all the time as a kid, and Axel was always the character that, even as a dumb kid, I could still just rip through enemies with ease. There's characters in this game that I've still never played because I just wasn't up for that kind of challenge.
My friends and I used to play a cat and mouse game in Twisted Metal 2. One player would pick Spectre, the other would pick Minion. The stage is Paris. Since Spectre's special goes through walls, it will always hit Minion, but with Minion's superior armor, the damage is minimal, but once Minion catches Spectre, his special and ramming ability can basically one shot Spectre. It was a lot of fun. I really miss those days of us getting out of school and everyone meeting me at my house.
Dude! We did the exact same thing. Except I was the superior player so I would always let my friends play as minion. I would still dominate just had to play elusive and keep spamming the ghost missles. 😅 It is this reason that I personally rank Spectre #1 in PVP. I was so good with him I was forbidden to use him against any other car with the exception being those minion battles. For me he was S class all the way.
I think Thumper was the one character from TM1 that got indirectly buffed the most in TM2 with the special attacks, namely the freeze. His special was good in TM1 but needed a freeze missile to really get value while in TM2 you have near on-demand access to it. Spectre I'd maybe place a bit higher from a multiplayer perspective. Just an extremely annoying car to deal with when played well. I'd say Spectre and Mr. Grimm are the best assassins in this game for different reasons. Mr. Grimm has that insane burst damage with his special that can eliminate anything with two shots of it but Spectre is good as a sort of clean-up that appears after a big firefight and picks off the weakest enemies then runs off again.
Yep Thumpers Flame was so hard to use in TM1 but if you froze them they were COOKED. TM2 you can hit people with the flame rather easy I like both games but TM1 is the OG I think I will always defend it as the best
Ah, yes, those random moments when you're lying in bed after 20 years and suddenly hear Grasshopper's scream as she jumps from the skyscraper. Definitely S tier 10/10
Another example of the in-game stats not telling the whole story is that there's a decent amount of variation within each "block" of their rating. Warthog/Sweet Tooth/Mr. Slam are all listed as a 4/5 in armor, yet Warthog has 150 HP while the other two only have 140. Along the same lines, Axel & Hammerhead have 130 HP while all the other "Armor: 3/5" vehicles have 120. And Twister has 95 HP to Mr. Grimm's 85...
I would only make one change to this list. I’d swap Shadow and Thumper. That’s about it. Shadow’s special is just that good. Surrounded by enemies? Shield and then insta detonate your special. Also, it lets you set up camp spots. Examples: In Paris, teleport to the top of the building that has the paintings in it, back into a corner, and whenever a car approaches the entrance, fire your shadow and soon as it drops, detonate it. In New York, drop to the pool and sit at the edge, and when cars drop in, take them out with ease, as your specials build up. In Antarctica, teleport to the line island and back up against the ice wall. Aim for the spot they teleport in at, and blast them. Heck, you can use Shadow’s special and the shield, to blow yourself to the top of the building with two doors in Amazonia, and just “snipe” Minion with your special from the roof, and he can’t even hit you.
I like the machine gun in this game much faster bullets and more effective than other TMs. Some of the Special weapons are just WAY too powerful on Thumper, Axl and Shadow every TM has its strengths and flaws I guess
Shadows special was kinda hard to use but really shreds people I remember never to be in front or back of him cause he will nail you w/ the ghost every time
I think this list would be one that most people would agree with. Personally I think Twister is worse than Grasshopper and SweetTooth should be around 7. Great list overall though love this game!
Yeah Twisters special has more chances to hurt her than deal damage against bigger opponents like Axel, Hammerhead, Mr. Slam, Minion, & Sweet Tooth. Plus if Thumper uses his Flamethrower while trapped in the Twister, it will immediately kill Twister
Yeah. You would need shield during her special. However, her special is still devastating if used right and it isn't a guaranteed suicide like grasshopper's. I would still rank twister higher.
I used to play with Spectre and Twister as a kid because they were the "beautiful" characters, however maybe Twister was a little tough to play, I was always dying after using her special attack, particularly if I trapped Thumper inside the twist. In other hand her special attack was interesting, not just jumping or crashing as Grasshopper and Hammerhead. I think your top is maybe the list that is going to appear after a TM2 fans vote.
Ooh, thank you for this! Single-player and multiplayer are much different beasts, but what surprised me is how similar your ranking is to the ones i've seen from competitive players. Your top 2 & bottom 3 are pretty much the same as theirs - Axel's "secret" ramming power is way too good lol Spectre is a monster in larger multiplayer formats since camping is more viable when you have teammates to do the work up close, while Thumper fares a bit worse in that format but is a beast in 1v1. Outlaw is also better in teams than in other formats since its special is so easy to land and its lack of damage potential isn't as big of a concern when you can build a team around that. The one i'd bump up a bit even for single-player is Warthog, as the game actually lies to you about its handling! Warthog has easily the tightest turn radius of any "heavyweight" vehicle, making it a poor man's Minion and thus still one of the stronger overall vehicles. It actually stands alone as having the most armor after Minion, too. Oh yeah, and Twister is easily better in competitive play than this suggests but that depends on you knowing how to pull off specific combos like the special + remote bombs trick. One of the highest skill ceilings for a vehicle in this game, but immensely satisfying when you finally make it work.
This is my favorite game in the series and possibly my favorite game of all time. It didn't take me long after I picked it up to discover how quickly a freeze blast flame thrower combo with Thumper would pretty much guarantee a kill on most all vehicles....The fact it was coming from a hot pink impala just made it even better lol. Look forward to more TM videos in the future man!
Fun fact about outlaw, you can use multiple of her specials at one time if you use the reverse fire code. This means you can save up 3 specials and basically one shot every other character in the game by just "reverse firing" your specials all at the same time, making her instant A or S tier IMO.
She's definitely an A at least but I always would rate her S tier best power to speed ratio other than road kill whose evenly match with roadkill having a slight edge since his special can be used from a distance. However you can counter with a drive by+ shield and spam the tazer ❤❤❤ #teamOutlaw2
As a dirt track racer, Grasshopper should have had 3 armor instead of 1. Compared to a police car built for speed, which was given 2, that seems about right. Then again, you have Axel, a bare chested man with nothing to protect him from napalm fire who was given 3 points of armor, so... yeah.
When she used the Special it seemed she didnt get damaged from the impact, that would be stupid also I didnt get smashed much after the impact was done
dude sweet tooth dominates. and having him be a secret character is cool, not an "insult". I loved all the secrets in this game and how they scatter them around the levels for you to stumble across
Well if this ain't a blast from the past. Spectre was my favorite as a kid, mainly because his car felt good to drive, and his special required no skill, also I thought he looked pretty cool, which is I ironic now that I'm reading his bio for the first time. Outlaw 2 is a close second I guess, she somewhat balanced stats.
I remember playing coop with my cousin when we were kids. I would play Spectre, while he plays Warthog. We were too dumb to beat it without cheat codes. Playing Spectre with unlimited special was so fun.

I think shadow is the best non boss character, his cooldown on the soul shadow is one of the shortest in the game, you can get multiple uses real quick. Here’s my list 1. Minion 2. Shadow 3. I can’t disagree too much about Shadow. I do see how Axel can be better, practically having two specials, but Shadow’s special does come back pretty fast and is devastating, especially if you know the good “camp” spots if you want to play it safe and just torture the CPU
Thumper and Mr Slam was always my favorite. Mr. Slam was way more powerful than you think. Once you freeze someone you can use his special move with machine guns and missiles activate,then once he let the vehicle go he can T bone them full speed. The same with Thumper. You have to be good with finger speed but you can make it happen.
Twister was my favourite character in TM2. The fact that she can do a tornado move while driving was fascinating to me when I was a 7 year old kid back then. Still all the characters were very cool to play as and it's no wonder TM2 is the best in the series.

Honestly there’s so many possibilities for ranking content that’s not been done. Tier lists of vehicles in each game, either on opinion or viability. Plus weapon and map tier lists would be fun for each game. It’s a content farm lol.
I usually play this game on hard mode and I mostly agree with your choices, here are some of my thoughts about some characters: Grasshopper's and Twister's specials can be improved by dropping mines; if you constantly drop mines while trapping an enemy in the tornado and while slowly moving backwards, they go down much faster. In Grasshopper's case, though, it's a bit trickier to achieve; you need to freeze the enemy, stand still, use special, and then do the dropping mine combos a bit before reaching the target and you'll likely hit them with 1 or 2 mines + the special damage. If I consider hard mode, I would swap between Mr. Grimm and Spectre, just because I don't have to deal with Spectre's constant missile spam, especially in the last 4 levels where he quickly becomes the most annoying enemy. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe you can do the reverse and rank the vehicles based on how dangerous they are :D
Use the bubble shield for Twister and Grasshopper when using their special. Changes it completely and the timing challenge adds a different dimension to playing with them Twister is one one of my fav characters to use
honestly this tier list helped me rethink where i put some characters in a list im making with all the twisted metal characters tho its more a ranking then a tier list.
Warthog actually has really good handling. He can sharp turn at full speed and not slide. I used to use this when people were chasing me, and I would end up behind them.
Twister could outrun Power missiles with enough turbo in the tank, and out-turn homing missiles. When played evasively, she is even more impossible to hit than Mr. Grimm.
Yeah, Twister is so much fun to play once you get the hang of the playstyle, just very punishing if you make a mistake. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!

Nice list, I was guessing at each entry as they came up and my personal rankings were really close to yours. Biggest change for me is I have Mr Slam quite a bit higher, closer to the A tier. He can use a combo of freeze, ram, grab with special, napalm on the way up, power missile as they land, ram again, all while holding down the machine gun, which can deplete the health of all but the most heavily armored characters in seconds. Yeah, his speed and handling stink but his high armor means he has an easier time staying alive.
Been a Spectre main since the original and TM2 is my favorite incarnation of him/it. Ken is a cool and funny with his story and Spectre itself is a fantastic Corvette Stingray, I even made a custom micro machine car back in the day of it xD
Very solid rankings overall. P much all of B tier are my jam, namely slam, roadkill, outlaw, and spectre. From the perspective of fighting these characters I'd rank sweettooth much higher and shadow lower. This is me and my dad's favorite game in the series and he would agree with the other 3 A tier listings easily... fighting as or against them is terrifying. Oh! Before I forget, using slam on enemies near walls and just absolutely demolishing them is infinitely satisfying and effective. That's all ❤
Awesomse video dude and it makes alot of sense. You should do a tier list for the endings. This used to be one of my favorite games. I bring up the endings because today was the first time I've seen the endings for number 3 and 4 and they were horrible. TM2 was the best one by far.
Very solid list. I like the tiers seeing as most cars feel ok balanced. This game feels a lot like street fighter 2. There are some better cars with minion being the akuma of the game. But overall if a bunch of good players played I wouldn’t be surprised to see about any character win
Mr. Grimm FOREVAH! TM 2 is my favorite in the series, it's still just as fun even all these years later, as it has an approachability to it that combines a varied learning curve that encourages experimentation and rewards skill.
Hammerhead is more of a B-tier character if you really focus on his ramming technique. Even without his special, you can t-bone vehicles that puts them in an infinite barrel roll until you finish them off without using any ammo.
I would like you to make a video on your ideal Twisted Metal game in terms of mechanics characters and game modes. Also, for some reason I was under the impression that axle had a second special in Twisted Metal 2 that was hidden for some reason 🤔 But maybe it was just a joke about his absurd ram damage xD
Axel does have a second special of sorts that's only accessible via a button command. It makes his ram damage even more insane than it already is. I just tend to place that in the realm of cheats like God mode and things like that, so I didn't mention it
Not having played this game decades and unaware if there is a competitive scene for it, this list seems about right. I always loved twister because if you had enough weapons you could finished a tornado trapped armored enemy pretty quick. Minion is just unfair. If you used his special and rammed an enemy, they were pretty much finished.
i liked using spectre during multiplayer on the new york map. cant run away from his special without nearly or actually falling. Also if i remember right, using twisters special and driving into the enemy works well as they get tossed around but not as much. and while they are recovering, use another to get max damage. or freeze, turbo into ram, special x2.
Mr. Slam was my favorite, and I definitely have fond memories of throwing my friend off cliffs. haha This friend almost always picked Minion though so he had it coming.
I have played TM2 for years and in my opinion you got some of the vehicles right but here is my idea for how the tier list should look: S Tier: Minion A Tier: Axel, Shadow, Warthog, B Tier: Thumper, Sweettooth, Mr. Slam C Tier: Outlaw 2, Roadkill, Spectre, Mr. Grimm D Tier: Hammerhead, Grasshopper, F Tier: Twister If I pick up the controller and play as Spectre, Sweettooth, Axel, Warthog and especially Minion I can usually beat the game no questions asked very quickly. Others like Thumper, Outlaw, Roadkill, Shadow, and Mr. Slam, are a bit more challenging. Then there is the lower tier vehicles like Mr. Grimm, Hammerhead, Twister, and Grasshopper who are just a challenge to beat the game with given all their problems.
I really wish I could reach the full potential of characters like Thumper and Grimm. I do well enough as a seasoned player but always burn through too much energy on shields or just spend too much time making myself vulnerable to attack when I really want to get the most out of my specials. Grimm's easier of course, being the master of hit and run, but I digress. Unless I want to absolutely molly whop the competition with Axel, I'll main Shadow all day baby. Looking forward to more possible tier lists, I dont plan to miss a single one!
Back in the day, got to the final boss with Sweet Tooth but could never finish the game on just three lives. On one hand, you can say he ranks low because it's hard to beat the game with him but on the other you can say he's pretty strong for being able to get far on a single continue...
Twisted Metal III was my favorite. If you happen to get into that one, Club Kids special ignores CD when you use back attack, which makes for some hilarious moments.
Ah, my and everyone else's favorite in the franchise. I got 2 in this if God mode isn't activated. Of course my boi Mr. Tooth, even though he has no level select option. Like i said in your TM 1 video, I'm just use to playing as him so much ik how to handle him. As for number 2, it is Big 🛞 himself Axel. I remember seeing him on the cover as a kid and his vehicle reminded me of Fay Wray from King Kong with her arms tied in between two stone pillars. Although with Axel, it's on wheels so its one of the unrealistically vehicle it's insane. His ramming damage is insane as hell. His Special is a quick get close and hit and run tactic so that's nice as well.
Hammerhead used be the best character in Twisted metal one. He got nerfed hard, but still brings more to the table than silly grasshopper. her special sets her up for failure flying to an enemy than can easily freeze her midflight allowing you make short work of her.
I played the shit out of this game as a kid. It was one of the few we owned. Grimm was my go to, in PvP. Specter and Thumper right up there and Shadow was really good in tight levels.
you can hold your weapon button to keep Slam's shovel up, i feel he is god tier if hes played on antarctica or newyork its fun to throw ppl off, except you can't grab minion or hammerhead. you know what was torture back in the day i got the code for Minion, but our psx took a dump it wasn't until like 98 my dad finally broke down and bought a new one.
So fun to 1 shot people as Mr slamm. Ez combo of freeze, slam (while spamming machine guns and power missies as they get slammed) freeze again, repeat. You kill anyone. Pretty op in single player. Diddnt work on humans though if they know how to shield to block the freeze. (Up up left)
interesting thing i found a long while ago was the special move to do a minion special. was this taken into account when you s teired him. hes kind of like a slighty better warthog
Yeah, I took that input move into account as I use it on pretty much every character I play. The only thing is it uses like all of your energy, so it's a big commitment to throw one out. I definitely felt like Grasshopper was the most difficult to beat the game with without using minion special. I would personally rank Outlaw and Warthog a bit higher than Grimm just from ease of use, but it doesn't matter really. Good list.

I always thought Mr. Slam was one of the most OP characters in all of the Twisted Metals. Because you could just spam his special and they literally can’t do anything while you’re throwing them around over and over.

Oh yeah, thumper was buffed like crazy, I got melted in seconds by thumper a good portion of the time, and thumper could take you down in seconds.
If you hold a couple of spectres specials for a couple of minutes and use them randomly you can clean up kills and not worry about dying

No twister is one of the best 1v1. Tornado special and lay land mines while they are in it can kill anyone in seconds

It didn't take me long after I picked it up to discover how quickly a freeze blast flame thrower combo with Thumper would pretty much guarantee a kill on most all vehicles....The fact it was coming from a hot pink impala just made it even better lol.

Fun fact about outlaw, you can use multiple of her specials at one time if you use the reverse fire code. This means you can save up 3 specials and basically one shot every other character in the game by just "reverse firing" your specials all at the same time, making her instant A or S tier IMO.
She's definitely an A at least but I always would rate her S tier best power to speed ratio other than road kill whose evenly match with roadkill having a slight edge since his special can be used from a distance. However you can counter with a drive by+ shield and spam the tazer ❤❤❤ #teamOutlaw2

As a dirt track racer, Grasshopper should have had 3 armor instead of 1.
Compared to a police car built for speed, which was given 2, that seems about right.
Then again, you have Axel, a bare chested man with nothing to protect him from napalm fire who was given 3 points of armor, so... yeah.
When she used the Special it seemed she didnt get damaged from the impact, that would be stupid also I didnt get smashed much after the impact was done
dude sweet tooth dominates. and having him be a secret character is cool, not an "insult". I loved all the secrets in this game and how they scatter them around the levels for you to stumble across

Spectre was my favorite as a kid, mainly because his car felt good to drive, and his special required no skill, also I thought he looked pretty cool, which is I ironic now that I'm reading his bio for the first time.
Outlaw 2 is a close second I guess, she somewhat balanced stats.
I remember playing coop with my cousin when we were kids. I would play Spectre, while he plays Warthog. We were too dumb to beat it without cheat codes. Playing Spectre with unlimited special was so fun.

Your welcome. as a kid, I used to play coop with bro. I always play axel as P2 because the bots always spam specail which is annoying. Outlaw and minion were hard to take down because they spam specail like there is no tomorrow.
I think shadow is the best non boss character, his cooldown on the soul shadow is one of the shortest in the game, you can get multiple uses real quick.

Axel is the best non boss vehicle os this game for me.
I can’t disagree too much about Shadow. I do see how Axel can be better, practically having two specials, but Shadow’s special does come back pretty fast and is devastating, especially if you know the good “camp” spots if you want to play it safe and just torture the CPU

Thumper and Mr Slam was always my favorite. Mr. Slam was way more powerful than you think. Once you freeze someone you can use his special move with machine guns and missiles activate,then once he let the vehicle go he can T bone them full speed. The same with Thumper. You have to be good with finger speed but you can make it happen.
Twister was my favourite character in TM2. The fact that she can do a tornado move while driving was fascinating to me when I was a 7 year old kid back then. Still all the characters were very cool to play as and it's no wonder TM2 is the best in the series.

Honestly there’s so many possibilities for ranking content that’s not been done.
Tier lists of vehicles in each game, either on opinion or viability. Plus weapon and map tier lists would be fun for each game. It’s a content farm lol.
In single player, Sweet Tooth is S+ tier just for the fact I don't have to deal with him anymore.

I usually play this game on hard mode and I mostly agree with your choices, here are some of my thoughts about some characters:
Grasshopper's and Twister's specials can be improved by dropping mines; if you constantly drop mines while trapping an enemy in the tornado and while slowly moving backwards, they go down much faster. In Grasshopper's case, though, it's a bit trickier to achieve; you need to freeze the enemy, stand still, use special, and then do the dropping mine combos a bit before reaching the target and you'll likely hit them with 1 or 2 mines + the special damage.
If I consider hard mode, I would swap between Mr. Grimm and Spectre, just because I don't have to deal with Spectre's constant missile spam, especially in the last 4 levels where he quickly becomes the most annoying enemy. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe you can do the reverse and rank the vehicles based on how dangerous they are :D
Danger levels of enemies are iconic for this game I totally agree, nothing quite like seeing a character you dread showing up in the lineup for a map
Use the bubble shield for Twister and Grasshopper when using their special. Changes it completely and the timing challenge adds a different dimension to playing with them Twister is one one of my fav characters to use
honestly this tier list helped me rethink where i put some characters in a list im making with all the twisted metal characters tho its more a ranking then a tier list.
Warthog actually has really good handling. He can sharp turn at full speed and not slide. I used to use this when people were chasing me, and I would end up behind them.
Twister could outrun Power missiles with enough turbo in the tank, and out-turn homing missiles. When played evasively, she is even more impossible to hit than Mr. Grimm.
Yeah, Twister is so much fun to play once you get the hang of the playstyle, just very punishing if you make a mistake. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!

Nice list, I was guessing at each entry as they came up and my personal rankings were really close to yours. Biggest change for me is I have Mr Slam quite a bit higher, closer to the A tier. He can use a combo of freeze, ram, grab with special, napalm on the way up, power missile as they land, ram again, all while holding down the machine gun, which can deplete the health of all but the most heavily armored characters in seconds. Yeah, his speed and handling stink but his high armor means he has an easier time staying alive.
Warthog was my main. TM2 is easily the best in the series.
Been a Spectre main since the original and TM2 is my favorite incarnation of him/it.
Ken is a cool and funny with his story and Spectre itself is a fantastic Corvette Stingray, I even made a custom micro machine car back in the day of it xD

Mr.Slam always stood out for me though Twister is my favorite one to play though Twister plays better in small brawl.
Very solid rankings overall. P much all of B tier are my jam, namely slam, roadkill, outlaw, and spectre. From the perspective of fighting these characters I'd rank sweettooth much higher and shadow lower. This is me and my dad's favorite game in the series and he would agree with the other 3 A tier listings easily... fighting as or against them is terrifying.
Oh! Before I forget, using slam on enemies near walls and just absolutely demolishing them is infinitely satisfying and effective. That's all ❤
Awesomse video dude and it makes alot of sense. You should do a tier list for the endings. This used to be one of my favorite games. I bring up the endings because today was the first time I've seen the endings for number 3 and 4 and they were horrible. TM2 was the best one by far.

Very solid list. I like the tiers seeing as most cars feel ok balanced. This game feels a lot like street fighter 2. There are some better cars with minion being the akuma of the game. But overall if a bunch of good players played I wouldn’t be surprised to see about any character win

TM 2 is my favorite in the series, it's still just as fun even all these years later, as it has an approachability to it that combines a varied learning curve that encourages experimentation and rewards skill.
Dude nice job honestly just tier list each game, for the end shot maybe just crop the vehicles so it's a bit prettier, but this is a great idea
Hammerhead is more of a B-tier character if you really focus on his ramming technique. Even without his special, you can t-bone vehicles that puts them in an infinite barrel roll until you finish them off without using any ammo.

Axel does have a second special of sorts that's only accessible via a button command. It makes his ram damage even more insane than it already is. I just tend to place that in the realm of cheats like God mode and things like that, so I didn't mention it
Twister's special destroys the first form of Dark Tooth in no time, because it slams that truck into the nearby buildings
Not having played this game decades and unaware if there is a competitive scene for it, this list seems about right.
I always loved twister because if you had enough weapons you could finished a tornado trapped armored enemy pretty quick.
Minion is just unfair. If you used his special and rammed an enemy, they were pretty much finished.
Minion in tm2 was insanely op. Tm3 minion just looked the best
I completely agree with this video whenever I play as Mr Grimm my main enemy that i always have to destroy is the ones that spam freeze
i liked using spectre during multiplayer on the new york map. cant run away from his special without nearly or actually falling.
Also if i remember right, using twisters special and driving into the enemy works well as they get tossed around but not as much. and while they are recovering, use another to get max damage. or freeze, turbo into ram, special x2.

The thing that made minion absurd was how quick his special and meter recharged.
And also its other stats being great on top of that. The definition of overpowered.
Mr. Slam was my favorite, and I definitely have fond memories of throwing my friend off cliffs. haha This friend almost always picked Minion though so he had it coming.
I have played TM2 for years and in my opinion you got some of the vehicles right but here is my idea for how the tier list should look:
S Tier: Minion
A Tier: Axel, Shadow, Warthog,
B Tier: Thumper, Sweettooth, Mr. Slam
C Tier: Outlaw 2, Roadkill, Spectre, Mr. Grimm
D Tier: Hammerhead, Grasshopper,
F Tier: Twister
If I pick up the controller and play as Spectre, Sweettooth, Axel, Warthog and especially Minion I can usually beat the game no questions asked very quickly. Others like Thumper, Outlaw, Roadkill, Shadow, and Mr. Slam, are a bit more challenging. Then there is the lower tier vehicles like Mr. Grimm, Hammerhead, Twister, and Grasshopper who are just a challenge to beat the game with given all their problems.

I really wish I could reach the full potential of characters like Thumper and Grimm. I do well enough as a seasoned player but always burn through too much energy on shields or just spend too much time making myself vulnerable to attack when I really want to get the most out of my specials. Grimm's easier of course, being the master of hit and run, but I digress. Unless I want to absolutely molly whop the competition with Axel, I'll main Shadow all day baby. Looking forward to more possible tier lists, I dont plan to miss a single one!

Back in the day, got to the final boss with Sweet Tooth but could never finish the game on just three lives.
On one hand, you can say he ranks low because it's hard to beat the game with him but on the other you can say he's pretty strong for being able to get far on a single continue...

Twisted Metal III was my favorite. If you happen to get into that one, Club Kids special ignores CD when you use back attack, which makes for some hilarious moments.
All weapons do in 3, you can even see the AI abuse rear fire spam on Pure Lunacy. Grimm seems to be the worst offender

Ah, my and everyone else's favorite in the franchise. I got 2 in this if God mode isn't activated. Of course my boi Mr. Tooth, even though he has no level select option. Like i said in your TM 1 video, I'm just use to playing as him so much ik how to handle him.
As for number 2, it is Big 🛞 himself Axel. I remember seeing him on the cover as a kid and his vehicle reminded me of Fay Wray from King Kong with her arms tied in between two stone pillars. Although with Axel, it's on wheels so its one of the unrealistically vehicle it's insane. His ramming damage is insane as hell. His Special is a quick get close and hit and run tactic so that's nice as well.
Warthog, Shadow, and Thumper were my go to drivers

Hammerhead used be the best character in Twisted metal one. He got nerfed hard, but still brings more to the table than silly grasshopper. her special sets her up for failure flying to an enemy than can easily freeze her midflight allowing you make short work of her.
Twister is the worst one in my opinion.
I played the shit out of this game as a kid. It was one of the few we owned. Grimm was my go to, in PvP. Specter and Thumper right up there and Shadow was really good in tight levels.

you can hold your weapon button to keep Slam's shovel up, i feel he is god tier if hes played on antarctica or newyork its fun to throw ppl off, except you can't grab minion or hammerhead.
you know what was torture back in the day i got the code for Minion, but our psx took a dump it wasn't until like 98 my dad finally broke down and bought a new one.
So fun to 1 shot people as Mr slamm. Ez combo of freeze, slam (while spamming machine guns and power missies as they get slammed) freeze again, repeat. You kill anyone. Pretty op in single player. Diddnt work on humans though if they know how to shield to block the freeze. (Up up left)

Yeah, I took that input move into account as I use it on pretty much every character I play. The only thing is it uses like all of your energy, so it's a big commitment to throw one out. I definitely felt like Grasshopper was the most difficult to beat the game with without using minion special. I would personally rank Outlaw and Warthog a bit higher than Grimm just from ease of use, but it doesn't matter really. Good list.

I always thought Mr. Slam was one of the most OP characters in all of the Twisted Metals. Because you could just spam his special and they literally can’t do anything while you’re throwing them around over and over.
