Hi Shane I saw your "Im done" episode with Dipi yesterday and it really got me. Felt your hurt and pain. You should be in Hollywood. Great act Shane well done.
Love Shane also its great to see the humour thats been created with others😊.Im glad they have given him a storyline to show another side of Shane. It's going to be hard to watch him and Dipi not be together 😞.
I'm watching it at UK pace so he's only just going into Rehab at the moment, but I'm currently finding the attitude of the other characters (and the writers) frustratingly inconsistent, TBH. When it was Sonya and Terese with addictions, everyone had complete sympathy for them. And even when Emmet's mum recently appeared, Paul was regarded as being completely in the wrong for not respecting her battles with addiction and not showing her any sympathy. The narrative with Sonya and Terese has been that they're victims to an addiction and the role of their male partner, and the rest of the street, is to support and sympathise with their problem. Not to judge. And yet so far Shane is getting nothing but judgement, and no sympathy at all for falling victim to an addiction - all the sympathy is for Dipi, Vi and Mackenzie. They even had Vi being portrayed as strong and in the right for arresting her dad and saying 'what kind of father does that to his family?' about his addiction. I can never imagine a male character being portrayed to be in the right for arresting his mum and being contemptuous about her addiction? Or for the narrative to be that Toadie and Paul were in the right to show Sonya or Terese no support when they're at their lowest, and to say hurtful, judgemental things at them instead.
I agree - I don't get it at all. Vi's reaction is especially baffling as she seems to blame him for the affair?! as if it wasn't Dipi's (and Pierce's) decision to do that.
Yeah, I've long suspected the writers have been writing it in a way where, as usual with the show, all the sympathy will be with Dipi and Chloe and the men will be the bad guys. Everyone has blamed Shane for his addiction, rather than sympathised with him, and he'll be blamed for 'driving' Dipi towards Pierce and it'll end with HIM having to grovel like mad to make it up to HER for her cheating on him. 🙄 While everyone will, rightly, blame Pierce for cheating on Chloe - but his valid mistrust of Nicolette has been hypocritically portrayed as him trying to 'control' Chloe (as if the women don't try to stop their husband hanging around with women they think fancies them and they don't trust - e.g. Dipi with Roxy & Shane). The writers clearly have a strong agenda with always making the women the sensible and moral ones in the relationship, and the men the daft or immoral ones, but they shouldn't do it in such a lazy, inconsistent and hypocritical way. And the completely different tone of Sonya and Terese battle with addictions compared to Shane's has been so inconsistent and hypocritical. And if they try to create sympathy for Dipi for cheating on Shane then that's so hypocritical, as there's no way they'd defend Toadie and Paul for cheating on Sonya and Terese when they were at their lowest, just because they'd found a more wealthy, competent woman up for an affair. 🙄
Sad that the only way to watch Neighbours in HD is on these TH-cam clips. I mean, I get that ch 11 isn't HD, but why can't 10Play be in HD? Both rivals by other AU networks are all in HD, but not 10Play.

Best part of him is when he was in “rehab” and wasn’t on our screens. Can’t act to save his job!!!!
Wait a min he was in Neighbour’s before he returned
