I loved this! So fun listening to your narration! You n Jocelyn at the same market! I almost fell off the couch when you looked at the blue/white Mens jewelry box, my grandfather had same one next to his sink, my grandmother had him build his own bathroom off the kitchen so when he came in from work he could come in from garage n not traipse dirt through the house, he was a contractor. I cleaned it all the time growing up. It just caught me by surprise, so many memories. Thank you!
What an awesome flea market, Karen. Thank you for sharing the name. Most don't. I think the more you go back to the flea market, the less overwhelming it will be. I can't wait to see your upcoming video.
WOW!! What an amazing flea market. Down here in Houston, most of our flea markets are filled with new goods or over priced antiques! Hope to stumble into that kind of flea market one day. Thank you for another fun video!
Went to this flea market last summer but looked like rain so a lot of the vendors didn't set up. Watching this video makes me want to go again. Thanks for the video!
That clown cookie jar was very creepy!! An elderly lady neighbor had one like it, and wanted to give it to me, as I collect cookie jars...I said..."Thanks, but no thanks". A lady friend collects and designs jewelry, she'd be going through those bins! I had one of those cute peddle cars when I was a little tyke! Love that collection! Lot's of toys at the sale. I go to these sales strictly as a collector, as I do not sell on line. Hat's off to all you that do...a lot of work! No frogs...????
Wow. This market reminded me of Rice’s Market in New Hope, PA. It’s located in Bucks County, not too far from Lancaster. I went there a lot growing up but looked down on all the old stuff as “junk” when I was younger. I’m a lot older and wiser now but unfortunately I relocated to Orlando and haven’t been there in ages. If you’re into another road trip, you might want to check it out. It’s beautiful country there, but I’m sure you’re used to that, living in Lancaster Co. Loved “tagging along.” That was fun.
They also say if their hair because if you notice they had a lot of poofy things done to their hair by their Maids or by themselves and so instead of teasing their hair they would put their own hair puffs inside to make it look like they had more hair. A neighbor of mine told me that one time she was an antique dealer. So it wasn't just those watch chains that they made out of their lengths of hair and other arts and crafts they also used it their elaborate hairdos
Seems to me there are the permanent folks (stuff is kept there all the time) (also known as "regulars") and the "new meat" group (not a regular but came out to try to get rid of some stuff). When I set up, I typically, I set up in this gravel area versus the black top paved area. The black top paved area is more for the regulars....the gravel is for folks like me who only come out to sell at the flea once or twice a season (We have about 4 to 5 fleas near me so appearing just once at each one during the season is plenty...) Interestingly, the gravel is where all the action is, since it's all NEW to everyone.....and the stuff is more "transient"....so the collectors go nuts... That's a pretty large flea for sure....
Yes about those ceramics Christmas Trees. There;s so many on the market recently. I sold a 35” tall iridescent white one recently on eBay. It was quite spectacular and has ruined me when it comes to all other ceramic trees.
@6:06 The jewelry box with the blue ship. I believe those type boxes go for pretty good money, though I can't remember what they are called 🙄 (no, not jewelry boxes! lol) I like those shoe forms. I would be overwhelmed myself. Which way do I go first?! Great stuff! TFS
Another great place that is only open two or three days a week is Jim’s Furniture and antiques - 842 York rd, Carlisle. He has so much stuff and really great prices.......it’s a white barn, it’s my favorite place to go!!!!
Great video and Tonya is a great Utuber, I’ve learned a lot from her. You have a great channel also,I’m looking forward to more videos and learning from you too. Thank you very much for sharing. I also save your store on eBay, do you sell on any other platform?
It looks great we don't have anything like it in S Africa. It made me feel a bit giddy you were going. around so quickly. You went past a lot of good things hope you went back .
That flea market is great. I live 2 minutes away and go there once in awhile.......try HAARS AUCTION here in Dillsburg on a Friday night. Now there you can get some great deals!!!!
Have you watched GeminiThrifts videos?.. she also lives in Pennsylvania and she goes to flea markets, garage sales, thrift stores, etc... she finds great items as well😀.. she reminds me of you when I watch her videos, such lovely ladies🤗❤️.. thank you so much for taking us with you on your trip🤗❤️
Hey Karen :) I know you get a hundred messages a day and are busy working your butt off in your resell business. I just wanted you to know that your educational videos TRUELY inspire me. I am a small time, work at home mom, that sells on Poshmark and Mercari. And I love watching your videos. In fact, your videos have encouraged me to share a little bit about my journey in resell... ( I just posted my first resell video and the audio is WAY too quiet). Even though yours are WAY better and more informative! I just wanted you to know that you have a little mom trying to supplement her income, looking up to you and graciously appreciating your insight. (I found you through your cute daughter's site, and felt even more inspired to try.. I have a little 2 and a half year old daughter that makes everything "more difficult" and even more beautiful, when sourcing. I love your story of the kids shouting out what they see on the side of the road. :) With all that being said (sorry to make you read a long message), I will always tag you in the videos I make and share. You are one of the first people that inspired me to keep going and to go bigger.
Hey I’m curious on your opinion of having an EBay store vs a EBay page? What does paying for a store offer you in return? I’d love to get more into this. I feel like I have good merchandise and I see it sells yet mine doesn’t sell. I have really good feedback I’ve been selling for 20+ years but ever since EBay started the “store” feature I’ve found it harder to get sales. So I stoped selling for about 10 years. Partially because I got really sick too. But I’m feeling so much better so I’d love to get back into. I’ve made a decent profit since starting back up in early spring. About $800. But it’s only been about 10% of my items sell. Yet I see other people selling the same thing. Generally it seems they have a store. So I’m wondering if you have a store does EBay prioritize your merchandise in searches? I’m not opposed to paying if I’ll see a return. I’d love to get your thoughts:) Enjoy your channel and perspective
Crystal Caffrey I’ve had a store for as long as I can remember, running sales and having the additional perks has been worth it in my opinion. I have worked my way up to an anchor store
If you like selling vintage you need to get a guy like Andrew and Jocelyn have they buy from that one main guy, and he pretty much just gives his stuff away. to them anyway. But he goes to auctions and buys big loads of stuff in one trip. Maybe you should checkout a auction someday see what it's all about. Don't get me wrong it don't all sale cheap. just who wants a certain Item the person will keep biding up till they get the box/item.
I also watched the crazy lamp lady and her boyfriend at this flea market. I think they go ever Sunday. She finds lots of stuff to resell. It would overwhelm me. Too much to choose from and to many people.
COULD you say why you decide not to get something that you are showing on camera for a bit. You pass it up and I would love to learn more about what not to get. THANKS.
Hey darling I came across your channel a few weeks ago and ty so much for sharing your insights with us I have learned so much from y'all in a short time (love your daughters channel also) I've found myself drifting into the hard goods side of things and have been blown away by some of my finds and darling it's all THANKS TO YOU AND THE INFORMATION YOU SO GENEROUSLY SHARE!!! I have a question for you or any of your follows bc I'm at a stand still with a dress I came across....I wish I could post pictures on here lol but has anyone ever seen a dress with a label that reads " Stork-Dater" and under that it says "REG.U.S.PAT.OFF"... That's it nothing else I feel like it's def older bc of the style but I can't find anything so if anyone has come across a dress tag like this please let me know! I don't care if it's invaluable I'm just extremely intrigued!!!!! Ty for any help!
Loved your tour of the flea market. I enjoyed seeing it through fresh eye! Maybe you will run into or plan a meet up with Jocelyn and Drew from @crazylamplady
You where there before Jocelyn because all the tables are so much neater while your there lol by the time Andrew and Joc got there compared to you the tables had been picked a lot
@@bluegirl777 I could care less if You accept or ignore constructive criticism!!!! Perhaps you need to watch how Crazy Lamp Lady uses her camera. What good does it do to fly down rows of crap that nobody can possibly see?

I couldn't have passeð up the owl table. The squirrel cookie jar was so cute. I want to go to this flea market. The baby seal was my favorite.
