@@thekid6244 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18: “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
John 3:13: “No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.”
Daniel 12:2: “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
John 5:28-29: “Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-58: “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
I can go on and on.
We fall asleep, then we get raised on the last day.
John 6:40: “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
It's a common argument about the book of Revelation and the prayers but people who use it do not understand the context and they just use it for their argument. Revelation 8:3-4 is not praying to saints it is the saints's prayers going to God because we want our blood avenged for all the blood that was shed for our testimony about Jesus. For one it is in the end times not now. So that in itself destroys present day praying to saints. I already explained how no one goes to Heaven or Hell right after death. 1 Thessalonians
      4:16-18.
Number 2 the prayers r not TO the Angels or the Saints they r TO God, so y r u praying TO anyone except God? 1 Timothy 2:5 says "for there is one God, and one mediator between man and God, the man Christ Jesus." Asking in the physical world is one thing but asking in the Spiritual realm is another. We should only pray to God. Matthew
4:10 says to "Worship the Lord thy God and serve him only."

HE gave me HIS MOTHER, and saying the rosary is singing to her the beloved events in her life, having Jesus under her heart for 9 months, giving birth to HIM and raising HIM. also she suffered along with HIM and held HIS BODY in her arms and was in deep sorrow until HE rose from the death and came to HER first bringing her joy. how can you mock HER and not mock the ONE who loved her more???

Why do you use the rosary to pray to Mary?

    • @BrandonDanilition
      @BrandonDanilition 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@sharon1476 there are three points to this that must be carefully considered.
Firstly, because Mary exclaims in the first chapter of Luke that all generations will call her blessed, and this is firstly fulfilled by Simeon, who blesses her in the following chapter with a direct message. And so we directly bless her following in this fashion, as will all generations following Simeon, so that it’s something constant. And one way of constantly blessing her throughout each day to fulfil this scripture is by the rosary, using the blessing said in scripture. But that’s just the Hail Mary prayer that is said… everything else about the Rosary is that it’s a meditation on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Secondly, as much as we are to serve Christ as Christians, we also act from the person of Christ. So that it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20). As we are commanded to honour our father and mother, now in the person of Christ, Mary is become our mother. So we honour her, as we are made into the person of Christ. And Mary is become our mother, we being in the person of Christ. So in Him we honour our new mother, whose become our mother as we are in His person. So we act from Him to honour our mother, as we belong to Christ. “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27.
Thirdly, as Mary bore the body of Christ on earth, she bore you and I, as the body of Christ is the Church (1 Corinthians 12:27). And this logical conclusion is used in Revelation chapter 12, that as she bore the Child Who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron, those who keep the testimony of Jesus Christ are also become her offspring. Since she gave birth to the body of Christ on earth, and spiritually, the Church is the body of Christ. So Mary is become the mother of the Church, which is the body of Christ which was conceived in her womb and to which she gave birth to. The Rosary is one instrument by which we practice this. And continuing this practice, saying the blessing of Mary that’s found in scripture. But fundamentally apart from reciting this blessing in the rosary, it’s a meditation on the life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And Mary said:" *My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant From now on all generations will call me blessed* (Luke 1:46-48)
The Lord was mindful of His servant Mary's humble state, Mary then says all generations will call me blessed, but
Mary did not mean her words to indicate a belief on her part that she was in any way to be venerated or worshipped, or that she would receive such veneration or worship in the future.
Instead, she was stating the fact that future generations would recognize that she had been blessed or favored by God in the same way that earlier individuals (such as Abraham or Jacob) who had played key parts in the history of God's promise of sending a Savior had been favored -- by an act that was not owing to anything that they had done (and sometimes -- as with Jacob -- even in spite of things that they had done), but that was totally out of pure, undeserved grace and mercy on God's part.
Mary herself recognized this when she said in Luke 1:47, *My spirit rejoices in God, my Savior* indicating her own acknowledgement that she -- even with the blessing that God had conferred on her by making her the mother of the Messiah -- was just as much in need as anyone else of the deliverance from sin that Jesus would accomplish through His death and resurrection.
      *The hail mary prayer*
      *Hail Mary, full of grace*
Why do you hail another human being? Especially one who is in the grave waiting on the ressurection to eternal life. There is only One who is full of grace and that is the Father:
      John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the *only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth*
      Acts 20:4
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
      *The Lord is with you*
      *Blessed are you among women*
*And blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus*
This is giving glory to Mary for carrying Christ when it was only though the Holy Spirit she was able to do this, all glory is to God not mary.
      *Holy Mary, Mother of God*
There is no such person or dieity that is or can be the mother of God, God has no mother that is why Jesus said in John 19:26-27
*Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home*
there is no biblical basis for this whatsoever, no matter how you try to dress it up.
      *Pray for us sinners*
(The hail mary prayer is explicity asking *mary* to pray for sinners, Mary was a sinner and is now in the grave waiting on the ressurection, she cannot pray for anyone.
Infact *1 Timothy 2:5* tells us:
*For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus*
Mary cannot mediate or interceed between man and God because let me remind you, she is in the grave waiting on the ressurection
*Now and at the hour of our death*
The hail mary prayer not only asks mary to pray for you now but also in the hour of death. If you are born again in Christ which is what we all need to be to enter the kingdom of God, then why would you need mary to pray for you at the hour of your death? Surely you would already be secure in your eternal salvation?
      *John 3-8*
*Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God* Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” *Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God* That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ *The wind blowswhere it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit*
      *Luke 11:27-28*
As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, *Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it*

@@geni2906 we know that. That’s why we quote Elizabeth in saying she’s blessed because of the blessed fruit of her womb, Jesus. You completely don’t understand the point of it. It’s not praying to someone other than Jesus. The first good news of Jesus ever told was the one given to Mary by the Angel and Elizabeth. So it’s a little gospel of Jesus that we continually recite, always having it on our lips. It’s the gospel in its earliest form. Revelation says she was taken away, the one who gave birth to the Child Who is to rule all nations, a phrase for Christ. And all believers in Christ are called her offspring, as we are the spiritual body of Christ, and she took care of the physical body of Christ on earth. So we are hers inasmuch as we belong to Jesus. The disciples ask Jesus "teach us to pray." Jesus then gave them the Lord's Prayer. There absolutely no mention of a Rosery nor praying to Saints. But, we are to pray to God only. We are to pray in His Son's name. This is scripture. Further, we are to have no idols. Is a Rosery not man made?

The rosary may signify passages of the Bible, but nowhere in the Bible does a rosary help affect anything. In fact, instead, they lean on God more, and not an earthly possession. It's more of a reminder trinket, perhaps a bit better than a tattoo. It's a symbol, it isn't power.
Also, the "Hail Mary" isn't what you make it out to be. We don't pray to Mary. Or the apostles. For there is only one intercessor between God and man, and it's Jesus Christ. It's idolatry to pray to anything else. Like why do we have the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus die on the Cross?

    Don’t pray the rosary.
Praying the rosary is promoted within the Catholic Church as a means of strengthening one’s faith, resisting evil, growing spiritually, and generally benefiting society. While some of the prayer of the rosary is scriptural, the whole second half of the “Hail Mary” and portions of the “Hail, Holy Queen” are blatantly unbiblical. While the first part of the Hail Mary is almost a direct quotation from Luke 1:28, there is no scriptural basis for (1) praying to Mary, (2) addressing her as “holy,” or (3) calling her “our life” and “our hope.”
Praying the rosary involves giving attributes to Mary that the Bible never gives her. To call Mary “holy”-the Catholic Church teaches that Mary never sinned or had any taint of original sin-is not biblical. The Bible calls all believers “saints,” which can be interpreted as “holy ones,” but Scripture says that the righteousness believers have is the imputed righteousness from Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). In this life, no one is yet sanctified from sin in practice (1 John 1:9-2:1). Jesus is called our Savior repeatedly in Scripture because He saved us from our sin. In Luke 1:47, Mary calls God her “Savior.” Savior from what? A sinless person does not need a Savior. Sinners need a Savior. Mary acknowledged that God was her Savior. Therefore, Mary acknowledged that she was a sinner.
Jesus came to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21). The Roman Catholic Church claims that Mary was saved from sin differently from everyone else-that she was saved from sin through the immaculate conception (her being conceived free of sin). But is this teaching scriptural? The Roman Catholic Church openly admits that this doctrine is not found in Scripture. When a young man addressed Jesus as “good Master” (Matthew 19:16-17), Jesus asked why he called Him “good” since there is none good but one, God. Jesus was trying to make the young man aware that he was using the term good too loosely. In praying the rosary, Catholics use the term holy too loosely. No one, including Mary, is holy but God. This ties in with Romans 3:10-23, Romans 5:12, and countless other passages that stress the fact that in God’s eyes no one measures up. Never is Mary excluded from such all-encompassing statements.
But praying the rosary has an even more basic problem, namely, that much of the prayer is directed to Mary, not to God. We are never told in the Bible whether anyone else in heaven can even hear us. God alone is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He taught them to address their prayers to God the Father. Every example of prayer in the Bible is addressed to God alone. There is never a single example of someone praying to any “saint” or angel or anyone else (besides prayers to false gods). Further, any time that a pious person prostrates himself (in a religious setting) to honor someone else besides God (chiefly to the apostles or angels), he is told to get up, to stop it (Acts 10:25-26; 14:13-16; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 19:10; 22:8-9). The Roman Catholic Church states that it worships God alone but “venerates” Mary and the saints. What is the difference? A person praying the rosary spends more time calling out to Mary than to God. For every one praise of God in the rosary, there are ten praises of Mary!
Praying the rosary also assigns a task to Mary that the Bible never assigns her. Jesus is our Redeemer (Galatians 3:13; 4:4-5; Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 5:9), our heavenly Advocate (1 John 2:1), and our one and only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). The “Hail, Holy Queen” portion of the rosary prayer calls Mary our “most gracious advocate.” This is a direct contradiction of the clear biblical teaching that only Jesus is our go-between.
Praying the rosary requires Catholics to call upon Mary as the “holy Queen.” The only time in Scripture that the title “Queen of Heaven” is found, the term is used in a negative way (Jeremiah 7:17-19; 44:16-27). The Bible never pictures Mary as a queen; rather, she calls herself “the Lord’s servant” (Luke 1:38). She is never given a crown or authority over heaven and earth. Likewise, is it appropriate, while praying the rosary, to call Mary our “life” and “hope”? Again, these are terms that are used of God alone in Scripture (John 1:1-14; Colossians 3:4; 1 Timothy 1:1; Ephesians 2:12; Titus 2:13).
The practice of saying the rosary runs contrary to Scripture in a number of ways. Only God can hear our prayers. Only God can answer our prayers. We have one intermediary (Jesus), and it is in His name we pray, not Mary’s.

Sola Scriptura, or “God’s Word alone,” maintains that the Bible is the highest source of authority in a Christian’s life, the final court of appeal (though not the only authority: the Bible itself mentions governmental and other authorities).
Sola fide, or “faith alone,” affirms that justification-being made right with God-comes only through faith in Jesus.
Sola gratia, or “grace alone,” says sinners are saved as an unearned gift of God’s grace, “not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph 2:8-9).
Sola Christo (“solus Christus”), or “Christ alone,” emphasizes the exclusivity of Jesus’ role in salvation: “No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
And soli Deo gloria, or “to the glory of God alone,” says that the purpose of creation, salvation, and everything-including our goal as Christians-is the glory of God, “that God may be all in all” (1 Cor 15:28).

29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31¶Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Rosary is my weapon in defense everywhere I go. Christians and protestants and baptists have a difficult time understanding why we pray the Holy Rosary and why we ask Mother Mary to intercede for us.
