Coming from sports photography to sports videography, I definitely believe I have a leg-up as I already understand anticipating where the action will go and how to catch it, how to frame a shot, story-telling, etc.
All makes a lot of sense. Thanks to you both.
Photography is a great skill to have for videographer because you get to have great sense of timing too and also better compositions.
brilliant tips which are exactly what sports photographers need to get better
Great tips! Awesome collab guys. Being able to take photos definitely makes your videos better.
Been thinking about this for the past 2 months. Thank you for this!
Thanks Shoot better sports, very helpfull
Dude is awesome!!!!
Thank you for this
Great video! I've been searching for video and photography on martial arts. Mainly BJJ and Muay Thai. Do you plan on releasing any video regarding shooting for martial arts?
Nice one, hehe do you were that shirt when you are filming a game?
Yes of course. It’s a great conversation starter with refs and it actually helps sometimes.
Another excellent video! Small question: Do you intend to do a video specifically about soccer videography? You're knowledge in videography about this sport would be an amazing help!
Yes I do. It simply got delayed with COVID and limited access to the pitch but I’ll get there eventually I promise!
@@BeyondTheGame_E Glad to hear that! I’m facing the same problem as I’m working with a soccer team in Dublin! I can tell that with your help my videos have been getting a lot of positive feedbacks. Can’t wait to see your ideas, please continue the wonderful work ! 🔥
I started out thinking I wanted to do sports videos and was enjoying it. Then I started taking still photos of games and absolutely fell in love with it. Now I am mostly just doing photos.
What aperture do you set to shoot football I go between 4.0-7.0
You should probably reach out to Ricky directly on his channel because I doubt he'll see you message here. (assuming he's the one you're asking the question to)
Probably a stupid question, but when they say use a 7200, what is that?
@@BeyondTheGame_E It was the guy from Shoot Better Sports talking about getting shots down court for basketball - was he talking about a 70-200 lens?
@@kevinlmounce ahhh I see, I thought you were talking about this video. Anyway I just watched it and he doesn't say 7200, he says 70 to 200. It's the lens zoom range.
When filming sports, do you usually take photos too?
YEP! pi.
Not yet but I want to start.
