High Price, High Interest rates, More Important To Keep A Roof Over Your Head, Food On The Table, Don't Need To Drive Around In a 70.000 Dollar Vehicle!
This is what lots used to look like prior to the election flu. Bought several new vehicles in my life. This is what lots always looked like. There were tons of inventory of every make of truck especially 2017-2019 when I was actually shopping for a HD pickup.
I am holding off also....bought a new 2019 Raptor that is now paid off...tried to trade a couple months ago for a 23 37Pkg and we were over 4K off and I walked. 2K of the difference was bullshit window etching and paint protection. Dealers will be be much more agreeable in the next 6 months!
My best guest is a combination of items. Everyone wants to scream high interest rates and price but these were flying off the shelves last year. It's likely due to supply catching up to demand. Remember there was the chip shortage 2-3 years ago.
I wonder if Auto Makers are doing what Boat (Ski/Wake) did after the 2008-2010 financial crisis. It used to be we could buy a new boat for $60-70k, then they reduced production and jacked the prices. Now the same boat is $250/300k+.
Great video and coverage of the new vehicle inventory. Minnesota here, and it's basically the same thing. Feedback that I hear about this situation is too high priced, quality issues, crap service from dealers. Goes for all big three. Also.. the uncertainty with the upcoming election and the economy that could follow. Thought the HD Rams had big rebates that started few months back...
Easily hold clearly most are having to anyway. 2k off is nothing. In my book its not even just the money as the quality & process of getting it fixed (if at all).
This must only be in your city, because every dealership within 300 miles of me only have couple of each model, nothing to pick from. Another thing is they have out priced themselves on trucks. I only make $150k a year and I can’t afford a $1500 payment for 7 years. I’m one of the very few that pays at least $20k down
I have found generally speaking when the country has a sneeze. The state of Michigan has the flu. You see big impacts to dealer networks in the state due to the auto industry impact.
The prices are dumb and the rates are too high.... And maybe some of these vehicles are a little bit overbuilt as far as trim goes... They probably have more gadgets on there than most people need
The F350 in some areas require a CDL so they build them as 250's with the same springs etc. to get around that. It's a bypass of the red tape if you will. At least that's my understanding. Could be cheaper insurance as well.
Ranger Raptors are a "problem" because as with the 2025 Ford Explorer those will be selling off the lot. Ford sales crazy strong due to demand upon in Central North America and out West on the Inland Empire side where again they only buy trucks. Eastern Seaboard North America a completely different market because of so many Cities and traffic issues plus Uber Lyft Turo so huge variety of vehicles plus some new some used some mod-ed which is why the Ford Maverick a huge hit everywhere. That was a really cheap looking Ford Maverick actually. Top 3 selling vehicles this time next Year will be Ford products still looks to be the trend F150, Maverick and Explorer not necessarily in that order. Ford Dealership i drove by was absolutely loaded with vehicles tho good point. Starting to see a huge variety of battery electrics now though as well as i am on the Eastern Seaboard in a great car market. They all *"show"* (first impression) *WAAAAAAAY* better first off by being near silent. Is a valid question if the ICE platform is dead in the USA 10 Years with Tesla running all out now. No battery electrics here is interesting. Dealerships to survive right here right now Eastern Seaboard will need to build up to conserve on crazy expensive space they are currently occupying. Again that makes the Ford Maverick best vehicle out there today. Not a good Dealership looking at that but yes great look absolutely 😊
I feel sorry for people buying general motors and Ford products complete junk garbage. Those vehicles will break down in the first six months of ownership. I seen many.
Even with good credit, anything over 50k is 900 plus a month payment.
Plus full coverage for insurance at rates that are astronomical! Crazy!
It’s sad.
People are tired of paying these stupid prices
Yup! I hope discount’s coming!
High Price, High Interest rates, More Important To Keep A Roof Over Your Head, Food On The Table, Don't Need To Drive Around In a 70.000 Dollar Vehicle!
I agree!

Very true. I see more super duties on lots now though that I had seen pre Covid.
HD trucks only discounted 2K so far in my area of Idaho. No thank you. I will continue to wait. Even a work truck package is 56K. Hell NO.
Thanks for sharing!

no pile up ib my area. slim pickings. it all depends how much the dealers order for inventory
I’m finding it’s definitely regionally specific. In the state of Michigan, if the country has a sneeze, Michigan feels it like the flu.

Probably, scary!

Thanks for sharing! And thanks for the kind words. Going to get interesting
Love to see it. Great video putting out information for everyone who isn’t aware.
More to come!
I wonder what the dealer profit margins are ?
My guess less than 10% per vehicle.
None of them want to budge on price either
They will over time have to!
Wait for the 25’s. They will give away the 24’s
I think you’re right
Easily hold clearly most are having to anyway. 2k off is nothing. In my book its not even just the money as the quality & process of getting it fixed (if at all).
Quality is biggest I see too!
I still prefer my 21 Tundra TRD PRO which cost me $57,000 new
That’s a nice ride. Is yours impacted by the engine recall?
@@CTECH-REVIEW No, my 2021 has the 5.7L V8

Automakers forgot why people buy trucks.
100%

That makes sense, thanks for watching!
What Ford lot is that??
Suburban
You always are saying why F250 over 350? Is there a difference in the ride between the two?
I have never noticed a difference in ride quality between the two
To quote Colonial Penn's TV ads, the three p's. PRICE, PRICE,PRICE.
Yes!

Thank you for the comments and for watching!
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that price is the issue . Every price you
He mentioned should be half that
I agree. Prices are nuts on everything now
All the people who had the money to buy a new car, did. Now the lots are full because the rest of normal Americans cannot afford one
That makes sense!
To much money 💰 I'll just build a guest house 🏠 and keep my old truck
Smart move! I can’t blame you
People can’t qualify for loans.
Pretty sad!
@@CTECH-REVIEW sad but true, easy money days are gone for now. All those no credit needed dealerships closing everywhere.
People don’t have money for expensive toys anymore
Its sad! Thanks for watching!
New car dealers have now become used car dealers.
Yup! Thanks for watching
Election year, uncertainty, 2020 was an election year, strange year, mainly Presidental election years
Thanks for watching!

Quality has diminished with all brands post Covid.
Plastic jalopy's with LED's that light the oncoming driver by blinding him. Computers screens with many menus to distract your view. Take 2
exactly!
Early 1980’s all over again…. But worse
I hope things improve soon!
The dreaded, unreliable 10 speed auto,
Thanks for watching!
Toyota lots are empty!
Thanks for watching!
This inventory seems normal to me.
