51:57 Jeremiah 29:11 - Pastor Paul says that this verse doesn’t necessarily apply to us for “this life,” which I respectfully disagree with to a point, especially in light of passages such as Ephesians 2:10 and Matthew 28:18-20. I would offer that God has plans for us in this lifetime, but they are GOD’S plans for us and not necessarily what we would want for ourselves. This verse really has become my life verse. I struggle with depression and a few years back I found myself flooded with thoughts of suicide. As was said about the people of Judah earlier in the Book of Jeremiah, I had backslid from my faith and I eventually immersed myself in scripture to work my way out of the terrible funk I was in. Jeremiah 29:11 is the verse that I started visiting and revisiting whenever I start having thoughts of taking my life, and I may not know what God’s plans are for my life, but I’m sure that they don’t involve suicide. Knowing that God loves me and that he does have plans for me makes those thoughts disappear. God’s Word is powerful. About 30 weeks ago I started studying this book, taking it one chapter a week. I wanted to know the whole story behind the verse. I would read a part of a given chapter each day, and each day I would listen to a different sermon about the chapter, and yours is one of the ones I listen to each week. I have learned that I am taking the verse out of context, but it still speaks powerfully to me. Thank you for being part of my journey.
Wow!...sobering stuff...useful reminder that when we go through certain troubles ...that it could well be the LORD giving us some discipline ...even if it feels like punishment. GOD bless and keep you Pastor. Grace and peace to the Christian family Gilly wife of Mark in Norfolk UK

It is the duty per the Constitution to fight tyrannical leaders, like our forefathers. We are not rome or Israel, so to claim we are to submit to such leadership is going against the Law of the Land. We the People are the government not Congress, President, etc..

I really enjoy your teaching. Could you please let us know the biblical reference for northern israelites relocating to Judah before they were exiled?
Also first comment ever...I’m not even on social media 😄
