    It's sad when you hear stories like this which is related to mismanagement of situations. My wife has given birth to 4 kids and all her 4 pregnancies she experience this high blood pressure episodes which is common in pregnancy mostly during 2nd and 3rd semester. It is very dangerous and needs to be managed by your care doctor. There's a medicine for that which she takes 1s a day until the pressure is managed then she's taken off and helps with labor. I don't know Kolege wife's care doctor if this was diagnosed during her appointments but I believe she would have been alive and the baby too if she was assessed well and getting the proper care. Many women have died during labor in Africa because of lack of resources to manage their pregnancy. Take heart bro, God is in control and He will strengthen you.

    May God keep this man and comfort his soul. This is hard. I hope this can be an inspiration to help improve the health system in Ghana. I’m sure because of privacy, not much was shared about the cause of death of both sweet baby and wife, but from the little that was shared it looks like a case of unctrolled pre-eclampsia (uncontrolled bp during pregnancy). I hope more is looked into this case as various precautions and interventions can be taken in such cases to help save lives. May God protect this man and family of wifey during this sad time ❤

    I think your wife had eclampsia (an advanced form of preeclampsia) a very dangerous pregnancy related ailment characterized by high blood pressure and protein in urine. The medical team might not have managed the situation well. Again, don't entirely write off that assertion by that interviewee who claimed your wife fell off her stretcher since you weren't present in the labour ward. Find him and find out the truth. Eclampsia is often characterised by seizures plus other serious symptoms so she could have indeed fell off the stretcher. Health workers often cooperate to cover their faults and I sense that in your story. Their communication with you was very poor.

    • @ericanyarko6610
      @ericanyarko6610 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      This is so sad. Why couldn't the doctors perform emergency c/section. Pre-eclampsia or Eclampsia happens in pregnancy but if proper attention and care is taken fast, the patient and the child might be safe. Child birth is not easy, it takes the grace of God. Anything can happen in the process. Even amniotic fluid embolism and preterm prelabor rupture of membranes (PROM), is very dangerous and patients die from all these complications.

      At amasaman hospital leaving the baby but currently we lost the baby too
      I can't forget this 😭. May God give you Heart to carry on. My advice here is don't go to Amasaman for delivery because they are not serious at all

    This horrible case shouldn't happen at all . Ghanaians are tired and sick of losing love ones through child birth . When will this end ? Was she under monitor ? Why emergency surgery wasn't done ? May God strengthen you Kolege . Very sad.
