Just to point out (because it confused me initially) If you don't have an even number of spring parts in your assembly, you will encounter problems when you attempt to mate the two right planes. Just delete one :)
A real compression spring should be done by spiral or helix path, it means the pitch and number of spirals, inner diameter a so on. But it is a good exercise anyhow the yours
You're really gonna compare Inventor to Solidworks? Have you ever used Solidworks? Inventor doesn't really even compare. This is a usable demonstration in mating techniques and model generation. Not an example of the power of Solidworks or even its functionality really... Don't be Silly
this is the best SolidWorks spring movement tutorial!!!
Thanks! I tried equation driven springs but using this in a flexible assembly is so much easier.
Solidworks has built-in feature for this. You are doing it the hard way.
C Manson Where is it? I can't find it in the toolbox browser
its not about making spring its about its spring motion
Very good tutorial in dynamic spring. Thank you very much
Bravo es un excelente "truco", en vez de ir actualizando el modelo.

Thanks! This really helped me a lot!
great tutorial, I found this very helpful :) also does anyone know the background soundtrack to this?
I used shazam to find the music. Very interesting results
@@chris_meehan after several tries now it gives this result, which is close but not the same: =H1tGD-38ycU

Great vid, much appreciated...

Well done!! Thanks!

5 years i'm try to find this tutorial..
and how to make it work fluently, when you put 60 of these into assembly :) ?
nice design..
what name the folder where you save sample ?
It´s a very clever idea.
I have a little problem. When I introduce the spring in another assembly, it can't move. What should I do?
in featuremanager-> right click on assembly, properties, and check ''elastic'' on lower right of window.
how to relocate this spring to in new assembly file, and add one or two another spring?..
i was trying, & the spring cannot move up & down...
tq..
Dear sir how can we make same in solid works 2020
How can you select visible top planes quickly? Thanks
excellent! thanks!
what about top projection?? this model is not the circle if look from the top.... It is some kind of ellipse...
i'm not run in integrated preview, i use RealView Graphic option for capture this clip :)
please help me I don't have weldment profiles in my solidworks thank you for helping me
why the final product still under defined? it should be fully defined ..
bayağı iyi !
Nice idea. Do you run SW in photoview360 integrated preview?
very cool!!!

Could you not just use the helix command and then swept boss\base
its not about making spring its about its spring motion
@songpol3579 ok...tq

thanks
@getahlantai Hi....You can see a newly tutorial on my channel for this solution
