Damn, Rocky was so dull as a drummer, and Terry's guitar style is all over this song so much, definitely the bridge crescendo solo like riff is a bit buried behind the amazing vocals and vocal delivery and feeling of the studio version, I used to spend hours trying to decifrate and hear all the lil sounds behind the prechorus "I can't describe the twisted way you think of me" cause that arpegio was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard, so dark, so pieceful, ethereal, yet epic. As far as I know this one was the first song Amy and Terry ever written, he said this in a Toazted 2006 interview, so just to add, how pure, how awesome was this first writting session that they were able to come up with such an interesting song from the lyricall standpoint to the sound of each lil instrument. I just wish drums would've been better, but part of the reason Rocky isn't there anymore just like John was due to their lack of compromise, they played very dull compared to Troy and Will, and Rocky's drums aren't fully in any TOD song, tons of programmign and synth drums and loops have been left instead of him taking a chance to stand, he and John were that, comfortable by playing enough to get payed and that's why they aren't in the band anymore. I would've love to have TOD songs grow more with two guitarist, and drummer but Amy also said somewhere she didn't click with both of them to writte even tho she tried several times to do it.... Sorry for my rambling about those two. But It's a way to appreciate 10 times more what Amy and Terry alone did by themselves, they created one of the most interesting albums. Totally agree with the Terry + Amy duet. They were able to create some of the most surreal, oniric and larger-than life, yet on-the-spot and authentic sounds and lyrics (Amy on this part), together.

I love the collaboration of Amy's and Terry's creativity, such a unique sounding album. In my opinion TOD is evanescence's best album.
